Questions!!!

1. Can you suggest a strategy for a teacher to ask questions; in order to involve the maximum of students into thinking over the answer to it, and in order the teacher could get the answer from students instead of answering himself/herself?

2. Where do you think the balance must be between lecturing, student individual work and teamwork for a lesson to be maximally effective?

3. What do you think what are the other five teaching mistakes?

4. What is your opinion on the role of heredity in teenager suicidal inclinations?

5. What sign of a teenager’s intention to commit suicide is the most vivid?

6. How many ways to prevent a teenager from suicide can you suggest?

  1. Sometimes teachers can not get the answer to their questions from their students. As a result, they themselves have to answer the questions. Why does this situation happen. There are a lot of reasons for this.Firstly the students may not understand what the instructor's intentions of asking the question.Secondly, the questions can be confusing,as a result, the students get mixed up.Thirdly, students may not gain knowledge about what the teacher asking.Whether students gain knowledge or not, sometimes teachers give them logical questions which grind the mind.If the student can not answer the given question, other studens in the class can succour them find the anwer or a solution to the problem. I think both students and teachers should be involved in the questions which require them to answer.

    1. In my opinion, there should be every teachers own method of teaching, and also drawing attention of class. As an example, I want to mention our writing teacher - Ms.Mufarrah's method of starting the lesson and asking the question very interesting way. I think teachers' mood also plays very important role. After asking the question if it's more difficult than usual, it'd be better if teachers give some hints not the whole answer.
    2. I think during lectures teamwork can work better than any other ways because in the lecture the lecturer cannot manage to evaluate every student's knowledge, that's why I prefer teamwork while lecture's going.
    3. I may suggest some teaching mistakes such as:
    5) Being too close to students, even sometimes more than normal; or viceverse not being able to make good relationship with students.
4)Not asking for help; sometimes it also helps to conduct lessons interesting. Some teachers do not ask questions from students, even rithorical questions are effective during the lesson.
3)Being overly optimistic and too easily crushed at the end.
2)Using Sarcasm; Pupils hate this and it will make them feel small, leading to resentment and further misbehaviour at a later date.
1)Taking it personally. If a pupil uses abusive language to a teacher, there may be all sorts of reasons for this; often to do with the pupil’s own issues, habits and problems.
4.I don't agree that if one of the parents suicide, it doesn't mean that their children will repeat this action. It depends on person's psychological condition.
5.There can be many reasons for teenagers' suicide. Any worthless reason can be the cause of teens' suicide, because at this period people become more sensitive than usual.
6.In order to avoid teenagers' suicide first of all their parents should be aware of their every action, without letting them know, otherwise they might feel themselves overcontrolled. Not only parents, but also teachers and people around them should be attentive.

  3. I think everything has their limit. As it is so, lessons, lectures, teamwork also shoulds have their boundaries. In order not to overload the students with lectures, individual work and teamwork, teachers and instructors should create desirable and relevant schedule of lessons.Of course, each of these has their own plans and intentions for educating students. For example, individual work urges students and desciples to learn more and also helps them to be able to fag at their work.Lectures are intented to caqter for students with indespensible knowledge and theory. In addition, professors retail students about their experiences and about ways they have been coming through for years.Teamwork is also an effective method of teaching. While students harken a lot of lectures, they practice the gained knowledge with teamwork in the class. These should be the limit between lectures, individual work and teamwork. If others have other ideas, i would be glad to see them.

  4. 3)The other five mistakes:5th mistake is that a techer does not how to work with a group or cannot engross the students.4th one is overestimating themselves;not harking to other students. Some students sometimes may know more than teachers do.3rd one is insisting on what they say, for example,a techer may say, ''mine is true'', ''do not wade in this'' ''I am a teacher, i know this better than you''.Then what happens the student? Of course, the student loses hope of believing the teacher.2nd one is bribery and losing their reputation. The reason Iam telling so is that students do not want to study anymore, as a result,a teacher quenches wih benefits, and a student suffers lack of knowledge.1st one is being more stern than needed.Students are afraid of a strict teacher when they see them, and even cannot talk to them . Agressively intemidating students cannot be accepted by students relevantly and can be one of their mistake.

1.A lot of teachers used to ask questions in a simple way, but in my opinion, it's not effective. Teachers may start their lessons with interesting questions by taking into consideration every student's mood, before beginning the lesson.

2.I think in the lectures pairwork and teamwork is more practical than working individually because lectures are conducted with many students, sometimes more than fifty people, therefore it's very hard to assess all students at the same time.

3.I mentioned about them before, but now I would like to make little change in my suggestions:
5)not paying attention to every student or just discriminate them according to their knowledge or position in the classes. When teachers make this mistake, students' willing to study will decrease.
4)weak preparing for lessons, usually students ask questions and if teachers don't know the answer even if it's connected with the topic, it leads to losing teachers' reputation.
3)unability to control students and classroom. It maybe because of being too easy on discipline.
2)failure of drawing attention. Not being able to begin the lesson with students' interests will cause not well understanding the topic of students.
1)overuse of activities or lectures at the same time. Everything has it's limit, if activities during the lectures or in lessons become more than enough, it may effect to students' knowledge because the main aim of using teaching activities is giving information, not having fun only.

4.In my opinon, the role of heridity isn't so important in teens life. Yes, of course, we can see some suicides which were caused heridity. In this cases, I'm not sure, mother's or father's some psychological habits or weak points can pass to children. But anyway, heridity can't be the reason of teens' suicide.

5.Young people with mental health problems — such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, or insomnia — are at higher risk for suicidal thoughts. Teens going through major life changes and those who are victims of bullying are at greater risk of suicidal thoughts

6.I can suggest the way that members of family of teenagers should try to be more friendly and kind in this situation. Parents shouldn't be strict as usual and try to keep balance ruling them. From this period parents should allow their children to be more independent. In my point of view psychological centers can't help, because teens like to express their feelings with close people more than strangers.

  9. Answers:
1.I think if teacher realized that the student is not paying attention to class, they should give rithorical questions to whole class during the lesson.Or after giving a question teacher should wait for a while giving the opportunity students to think about answer.

2.In my point of view, ndividual work more than teamwork.Yes agree that the individual work could be somehow boring but it gives a great chance for students to think about task more deeply and to do their best.

3.I'd like to continue them in this way:
Mistake#5: Disrespect students. usually students' unrespective attitude make teacher do mistakes.
Mistake#4:Unfair punishment. Sometimes a teacher will miss what led up to bad behaviour and only discipline one pupil when others have been guilty of provoking the situation. This can be avoided by vigilance and by responding to misbehaviour as soon as it occurs.
Mistake#3: Teachers do not have a clear set of rules or guidelines. It also makes teachers do mistakes.
Mistake#2:Teachers unacceptable behavior.Sometimes teachers behavie themselves in strange way.As a result they easily lose respect towards them.
Mistake#1: shouting at students without worthless reasons.
5.There are a lot of aims to commit suicide. In my point of view the most essential is raping or gambling, playing games of chance for money. However, nowadays in some foreign countries it happens for the stupid things, unfortunately.
6.I guess in our life there a lot of distructions to avod suicide.First of all, they need psychological help. Secondly, they can jon in different clubs to make them busy, they can be sport clubs, poltcal clubs or business clubs. And also consulting centers for teens are also helpful. But in my opinion, the most important one is parents' concentration on their chidren. They should take into the concentration each act of their children.

  10. 1. Different teachers use different strategies while questioning their students. Some of them are really good, but some are not. In my opinion, it is is very effective to ask each student answer the question despite repeating the same words. Every student wants to speak and to be heard!
    2. The balance between lecturing, individual work, and teamwork is not so difficult to find. It is essential to begin the lesson with lecture, it must take near half an hour. After lecturing, it is good to give a chance to work personally at about 15 minutes. Finally, you can end the lesson with the help of teamwork. It will influence the students very well.
3.Other five teachers' mistakes can be: being late, being too friendly to the students, being too cruel or strict to the students, give a great amount of homework, or giving no homework...
    4. In my opinion, heredity may play the main role in teenagers' suicidal inclinations because character transfers from parents to their children. If one's character is weak, and he or she falls into the depression easily, it can be the quality of his or her parents' character that a child inherited.
    5. The most noticeable sign of teenagers' intention to commit suicide is depression. If you see that your son, friend, or lover is too sad, and every time tells negative words, looks down to the world it means he has a depression. In most cases depression is the very sign of committing suicide.
    6. The best preventions from suicide are positive emotions. They may be given by the parents, friends, and other close people. The person who wants to commit suicide must try to persuade himself or herself that nothing wrong in our life can worth the death.

  11. I think that sometimes teachers answer their questions themselves because of student's shyness. Some students afraid of giving the wrong answer or don't know how to explain their thoughts. It often happens espesially with first year students. They don't have enought experience maybe.
And teachers have different wayss of asking students. Some teachers don't like to wait for the answer long and answered quickly themselves.i think that every student wants to have enought time to think before answering .
I think that team work and individual work are equal. which one is more effctive? It depends on student. Some students prefer team work, but some others individual one.
I think that other five mistakes are:rudeness,Disrespect students point of view, being always late for classes or even miss them ,giving too much homework and having bad habits such as smiking, drinking alcahol and etc.
Every teenager is different. Some of them are enought strong to overrule the problems, but some them , unfortunately, not. This weakness may cause to suicide. When young people faced troubles , it seems them that there is no way to solve them and they try to find the easiest way to avoid them. What is so strange in many situations this way is death.
In my opinion the best prevention from suicide is to persuade the person that this is not the end of his life, there is nothing that is impossible.Or ,maybe, give some real examples from life of those people that he knows well.

  12. *I guess awarding students for their answers is a good way: e.g. ms.Sadokat used to give us stars for participating every lesson. And she warned that they will play role in the end. So we tried to be active! On our last lesson she gave us memorial gifts and bonuses for final according to the number of our stars. Personally I loved this method:)
*I think 30|% of the lesson could be lectures and other 70% team work, while individual work could be given as hw
*Maybe just the worst one.. It could be making a student be like everybody. KILLING INDIVIDUALITY by stereotypes
*I don't have a clear idea about what to answer. The field of genetics is just developing, and we know only about 1% about our genes and heredity, so ask me after 20 years appr.
*Being depressed and not communicating with anybody
    *Only LOVE!!!

    1. 1# From point of Mika I also really liked Ms Sadokat's strategy, because I was the person who took the best present. Her strategy encouraged me very much and I tried do my best. Thank God all my motions have been awarded, I never expected. And I'm glad that Mika become our groups' ideal, and all others also become in some points the heros of our group. Ms Sevara also did some competiton, that was very interesting, I myself never expected such results that I took the best present after very challenging competiton.

  13. 1 - I think that every teacher has his/her own method of teaching. Some hold lessons in the form of games and for others, I think, it's more important to spend the classess seriously and to give all sorts of complex tasks, and for others it is better to spend the class in a way so that all students were reasoned thought. I think that the mood of instructor during the class plays an important role in its method of teaching. Further, the younger the teacher, the more easier the interaction between the teacher and students is and the more interesting the classes are.

  14. In order to involve the maximum of students into thinking over the answer teachers should make them be interested into that topic, She can get some attention by telling a real life experiences or playing in a group some logical games.Teachers should give the right questions which can make them be serious and think more deeply.Sometimes teachers may not have an answer he or she expected but anyway teachers should not answer, they have to give a chance to think. After all they should discuss the topic generally.
Nowadays, many students prefer teamwork 'cos when you are working with ur partner, you will know a lot of things you didn't know. You share, you think, you get!!! that is a point of teamwork! If you work alone you will be limited by ur opinions. Teamwork is an effective way!!!
    1. Being kind and forgiving students is a mistake. Be more serious. We shall be educated by teachers. We don't have to be treated as we are at home or outside.
    2. While lecturing teachers have to make the audience listen.Students must not disturb each other.
    3. Teachers sometimes give a chance to read students, when the student wants to start the teacher reads the beginning and then student reads just a few words. That offends and get students nervous 'cos why teachers give and then read or answer by themselves.
4.Teachers shouldn't be close to us 'cos when we (students) get used to him/her we don't want to stop that teacher lecturing us. I wrote this 'cos I miss my favorite teachers lecture they were valuable for me.When I remember I laugh and then I become upset when I realize that I don't have that chance again.
5.Teachers should teach us by new methods 'cos of the century.
P.S: Teachers must have one class which make students think about their mistakes too.And be in a sphere where students realize what they did and what are they going to do.
In my point of view, the role of heredity in teenager suicidal inclinations play a little role but effective. The person who has suicidal mania will imagine himself. There is evidence that there may be an underlying neurobiological basis for suicide risk independent of the inheritable genetic factors responsible for the major psychiatric disorders associated with suicide.According to statistics : Genetic inheritance accounts for roughly 30–50% of the variance in suicide risk between individuals. Having a parent who has committed suicide is a strong predictor of suicide attempts. Owing to these I believe that it plays a role.
The cause of which can attributed to a mental disorder such as depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, alcoholism, or drug abuse. Stress factors such as financial difficulties or troubles with interpersonal relationships often play a significant role.
Visiting an expert or specialist in psychology is the most effective way and also, to prove that he or she deserves to live is vital.

  15. 1.In my opinion, teachers before asking questions should speak to students about topic. When students hear the name of the topic, they imagine a picture in their mind. I think teachers should speak for 15 min. about the topic and teachers see how students figure out the topic. After speaking, they can answer some questions according to the topic. And then students can answer ewasily, because tyhey will have a main picture in ther mind about this topic. teachers don't need to answer the questions theirselves. As I mentionedif teachers give a chance to thonk or imagine the topic, they wil never face to some difficulties to get right answers. We saw a lot of situations in which teachers came to the lesson and suddenly gave their questions to students. Of course, students couldn't answer exactly, because at that time they didn't have comprehension about the questions.

  17. 2.In my point of view, a teamwork is more effective than individual work. Because when students work in a group, they discuss a given topic with each other and they get many different opinions, ideas. I think a group work helps students to be more active. When students discuss the topicin the group even a student who didn't catch the point of the task, will listen the discussion and can have understanding the task. After some minutes astudent will begin to participate in a group work.At the end I would like to add that a teamwork gives much opportunity to think, to speak or to show their abilities during the discussion among the group.

  18. 3. I think maybe they're not all the 5 mistakes,which I will write. I will try to guess.
5)Come to the lessons with their problems. I mean, when teachers come to the lessons with bad mood, it wil also influence on student's brain.Teachers should leavce their all ptoblems at home and come with good mood. Every time when teachers come into the room, firstly, students pay attention to teachers mood. That's why, I think teachers should be strong and not to come to the lecture without mood.

    ReplyDelete
  19. 4) Misunderstanding students.
Teachers should be honest and should be like psycology. They should understand their students and according to thier character, teachers should be as I mentioned like psychology. Some teachers don't understand students and it makes students to be nervous. If teachers misunderstand students, they'll ask themselves why she or he don't understand me and this feeling makes stutents not to like this subject. Teachers should support students morally every time.

  20. I agree with Guzalina`s opinion about teachers` mood. I think that lessons should be conducted based on positive, reciprocal relationships, cause it reflected on students` perception of the relevant material.
In order to involve maximum of students, teachers may give to argument several questions and give a chance to every student to speak. No need focus attention on their mistakes, because thus, student can lose confidence. Subsequently, the student begins to avoid any issues, so as not to be in an awkward position.

In my opinion, individual work is more effective than teamwork, cause in teamwork usually students rely on those who are more active, intelligent, or sagacious. They prefer to stay in the shade of others, correspondingly, they will not have any progress.

I suppose the other five teaching mistakes can be:
    - To assess students unfairly;
    - Irresponsibility towards their work;
    - Lack of teaching ability (if we know the subject well, it doesn`t mean that we are good at teaching. Ability to teach is also a talent which we must learn).
    - Being too strict. In such way teachers promote irresistible barrier formation between them and student

  23. Answer to 6th question: In order to avoid teenagers' suicide not only parents but others around teens should be good friends and pay attention to the events in their life. A person who wants to suicide needs to know that people care about her. So keep in touch and show that you care. Parents, friends, we must be supportive.

  26. Answer to 5th question: in my opinion following reasons will cause teen to suicide: disappointments from life; depression; quarreling with close friends, parents; lacking of attention others' attention; unrequited love. Most teens, lack of real life experience. They do take seriously problems happening around their and others’ life. They think there is no way solving them. They probably think killing themselves is easy way to deal with problems. Additionally, they want to have lots of attention, to be in the centre of it. And when they do not get the attendance, will be disappointed. Time by time these dashing points will be gathered and lead to suicide, I think so.

  27. 5.3)Giving a lot of unnecessary hometsks.
If teachers give many tasks that are necessary, students won't find it useful.Time by time students don't want to do the task with desire. They do tasks because of marks. Some teachers make students do unnecessary things,as a fact, many tasks students can themselves under the pressure.
    2)Teaching without clear explantions.
Some teachers don't explain a new topic exactly. That'sw wht studeny's don't have any comprehensions in their mind. Some teachers just come to the lesson and distribute handouts without explaining a new topic. After getting such kind of handouts, students have to guess what topic is about. And they go home let's say without understanding. That's why students usually can't do hometasks or can't pass the exams.
    1)A lack of knowledge.
Some teachers don't know their subject well and teach students. If we look at different sides, we can notice some minuses. As I said, because of not knowing the subject, can't teach students. That's why some students graduate from the University without having enough knowledge.Let's imagine a picture, if students couldn't obtain knowledge during the study how they would teach their future students. They also would do the same how their teachers did before.

  28. 4.Nowadays suicide is getting more popular among the youth. My opinion to the this question "The role of heredity in teenager suicidal inclinations?" is that suicide be inherited to a child. If parents espesially a mother is nervous during pregnancy,it will influence on a baby and the baby will be born with having some problems in his/her nervous system.Because of this, when the child will grow up, can't understand some difficulties and of course, will be a weak person and some life problems can make him/her suicide easily.
5.I suggest teenager in order to prevent from suicide:
1)not to pay attention to small things, imagine that they are nothing for you.
2)parents should help their children yo solve problems and every time parents should ask what problems they have.
3)not to be in negative groups.which can destroy her/his life(alcohols,drugs...)
4)every time be optimist try to see positive sides of life.

  29. 1).I think a proper strategy for teachers to ask questions in a perfect way may vary according to age and environment. However, every type of student tend to answer interesting and funny questions. If a teacher manages to turn every question life-based and funny, s/he is guarnteed to get a variety of answers.
2). Speaking about balance among these three methods, Teamwork and individual tasks should be more stressed on. Lecture is also very important but it is not taken seriously by most students.
    3).
    1. I think, you shouldn't punish students for their mistakes. We learn from mistakes. From moment when we fear making mistakes on, we stop learn.
    2. I suppose you shouldn't not force students who look reluctant to participate in your activities. After a while, they join willingly in most cases in which they are not forced.
    3. As far as I am concerned, pay attention to the type of homework. We are what we do as homework, what we work on ourselves at home. Most teachers do not assign
    wide-ranged hometasks.
    4. I would like to put forward one suggestion. We should not have the same teacher for a subject. a variety of teachers with different methods we are going to have more use.
    5. Teachers should comment negatively about businessmen and money as they are less rich then businessmen. We should take a positive attitude to money from an early age.

    4) Heredity has little to do with suicide inclinations. during teenage years, new habits and attitudes take shape and characteristics herited from parents are replaced.

    5) Once my friend said He had tired of life and started to laugh unnecessarily much. Days later, he was found hung in the cellar.

6)Best precautious way is to give a lot of love and equal treatment. besides, Making sure that they have almost no free time for letting bad thoughts travel by taking up sports and part-time job

  30. 1. In order to involve all students to questions in the class, teachers should promise to the students about giving extra point or any kind of bonuses for correct answer. I think it’s very effective way. If questions seem to them very difficult, it would be better to give helpful hints during question- answer period! In my opinion, these teaching approaches are proved during teaching process.

    2. I think, team work is not so fruitful. In the team work some students feel irresponsible and contribute less effort to result. Despite this situation, team says, “We did the project together!” Sometimes it’s unfair. For this reason, I would suggest to give more individual assignments to each student rather than team work projects. Individual project shows a student how he prepared, and how he is ready to hand in the tasks. It can be effective way to evaluate, to my mind.
    3. May be following 5 mistakes can be:
-Too much teacher talking time during the class. It doesn’t matter, it is lecture or seminar. The teacher should involve students to the lesson. Students should talk during the class. Otherwise, it will be boring.
Giving unclear instructions. Most students complain about this problem, especially in final exams.
Not checking their understanding of instructions. Sometimes teachers refuse to clarify the instructions. As a result, students get confused, and get lowest point.
Not being objective. Teacher should be neutral in the lesson. Interacting much friendly in classes may lead to students’ condescending to your subject.
Telling past life experience many times. I have come across this very mistake in my lyceum. One of the our English teacher told us her past achievements and experience many times like fairytale instead of conducting lesson. We wasted our much valuable time listening her tales. 

    4. Of course we know DNA is good transporter in terms of transferring character and important skills. Unfortunately, some bad feelings are also passed through the genes of a parent to a child. So, it influences on teenagers life. If the teenager’s parent also tried to suicide himself/herself, it can be reoccurred in their kids’ life too. They can be very emotional like their parents. Anyway, it may be preventable the teenage suicide. For this, parents should be very careful and aware of each movement of their children in adolescence.

    5. In most cases, teenagers try to suicide in the following conditions. First is misunderstanding between parents and teenagers. Second, teenagers are ashamed from their parent’s bad habits such as alcoholism, etc. Teenagers feel unsuitable in social life because of their parents, and they live under the pressure. This can lead to suicide. Again, most popular one is the failure of love. Teenagers are very emotional, so they can’t be patient with losing of the lover.

    6. In this difficult period, teens need much support by their parents. The teenager needs to know that parents support and love him or her. Parents should help him/her find hope in life again and cope with difficulties.
Eliminate alcohol and some other drugs in the house.
Pay attention to the events in the life of your teen.
Listen, listen, and listen some more to your teen. Listen without judgment of him. Be friendly and give useful advice. If it’s possible, have a trip to somewhere with your teen in order to address his attention to interesting things, change his attitude towards life to positive side.

    3. Jahongir, I respect your idea about genes of a parent to a child, but I a little disagree, because if parents are mad it doesn't mean that children also should be mad. I had an experience in this. My neighbor's parents are dumb, but she can speak. So, suicide isn't passed through the genes of a parent to a child. Also, children learn everything from their parents and they try not to do their parents' mistake.

    4. I respect your idea about genes of a parent to child ,and your example also Gulnora, but I don't think that always happens as you say, or as he says, it depends on the case, and also depends on the parents' genes, and therefore in both cases there is a possibility of interest rates or vice versa.

  31. 1. What I can suggest is making the questions something different than just being a question; making it interesting, maybe, with incorporating life examples which student will possibly find noteworthy. From my own experience, when I give question to students, I try to come up with life examples which help them envision the case and find the solution.
    2. The maximum effectiveness of the lesson should be achieved by a teacher’s wisely integrating all the things, i.e. lecturing, student individual work and teamwork. Further, lecturing should be a theoretical part of the lessons and practical part should comprise both individual and team work; or just the team work with an individual student work sensibly included in it.
    3. I tried to think of some mistakes of teachers, but I am partially unable to provide the order of them by their priority. First one is, in my opinion, not to be able to keep the balanced discipline. In most classes student tend to feel too at ease because of teacher’s lack of control over them. Next, I don’t have any clue whether to call this mistake or the thing which many teachers fail to carry out during the class, is teacher’s tendency to prove that the topic is of the much importance for the students. For instance, when I conduct the classes, if the topic I am going to be teaching is ‘Passive Voice’, I will start from explaining the usage of this in our lives, in what occasions, reasons students need to have this. This contributes considerably to the interest of the student towards the class. Last but not least of mine is teacher’s attitude toward students. Many teachers tend to disrespect their students and students will react in a so-called ‘right’ way. The teacher should always be in a positive mood while conducting the class and should never ignore or disrespect his/her students.
4, 5, 6. I don’t think heredity has something to do with suicidal inclinations, unless a person has serious hereditarily transmitted mental illness. And as the most vivid sign of suicidal I would like to point out ‘setting affairs in order’. It’s so vivid that the word vivid is not enough to define it. As the ways of preventing, I think aforementioned ones are clearly enough, because I couldn’t find one.

  32. 3. 1.Teachers should teach student not course material. Sometimes students have to read explanations from a book, but reading rules isn't enough when teachers' focus is on student, it'll be more affective.
    2. I think underestimating student is also the worst mistake. If you couldn't participate well in the beginning of the year, because of the new atmosphere, it doesn't mean that you are the worst and teachers pay attention to those who could show his/her ability at once. If teachers don't believe in students’ intelligence, students won't believe in their intelligence.
    3. The minor mistake that some teachers still don't know some students' name.)

  33. 1. In my opinion, when teacher gives a question s/he should wait student to concentrate her/his idea. Some teachers ask answer without waiting, so student can't answer. Also question should be clear. Otherwise student couldn't catch it.
    2. If people want to enter the University an individual work is better than others, but if it's just learning for him/herself the teamwork is better. I think many students don't like lecturing, because it’s so boring. Moreover, people choose it according to their personality.
    3. 5.Being in a bad mood. Sometimes teacher will be very nervous or in a bad mood and s/he doesn’t want to teach students in that moment, but in that case teacher should try to be polite with students. However, it affects students' mood, so teacher should be in a good mood.
4.Being very friendly. Many students like this types of teachers, because they are always on good terms and they speak with them like friends. Teacher isn’t our friend, so we(students) should respect them as a teacher.
3.Giving excises without explaining topic. In this mistake student does exercises without understanding. If after one week teacher asks s/he can't answer. So, before giving tasks teacher should explain the topic.
2.Being too strict. Some students learn because teacher is too strict and they have to study. Moreover, they should learn her/himself not for teacher.
1.Teaching with only interesting games. Maybe it’s somehow true for improving students’ vocabulary, but student should learn grammar, writing, reading and others also.
    4. I don't agree with this, because it's not heredity illness. It comes after life’s difficulties.
    5. There are some reasons for suicide: misunderstanding with parents, not having parents, because of love, illness and etc.
    6. The most affective way is parents and friends support when u have problems. When you want to suicide yourself think about your crying parents after your death. Teenagers should know that life is given only once and only God can take it.

  35. 1- I think when the teacher give a question and get answer like "i do not know» ,he just should say "predict, if you make mistake that’s` ok .You are here to make them, and I to correct"
2-in my opinion lecturing should be 30 %, teamwork 40% and student individual work 30%. Due to the fact that if lecture is too long teacher can lose students attention and also it makes students be bored and they can miss main points. Later than lecturing will be better if teacher use team work, because students can get from teammates some main points which he could not understand or add some extra points of the topic . After all teacher can use his left time for student individual work. Like a make some little test or activity.
3-one of the five mistakes is not to mock or humiliate. For instants when student give wrong answer teacher should not say like “I know that you do not know`` or “as usual you did not understand “. Such a response can bring hatred to the subject. The next mistake is keeping distance not to be too friendly. Teacher must not forget that he is a teacher not a friend. He can make good relationship between students but it does not mean that students will get a bonus to not do home works. The 3 mistake is to make lessons too difficult. For example when teacher after 40 minute non stop speech with using scientific sentences asks from student questions according to the topic. By the way he did not give any handout, any visual presentation just he speak. It is too difficult to student to listen 40 minutes and understand all points. It will be better if teacher will make activities or asks some help from student like to give a chance to make a lesson . next mistake is be very strict . Actually most students try to be polite and do all task from strict teachers subject. It means they try to do task not for their selves but for a teacher. Teacher should make a lesson interesting he should make students do task with pleasure like giving freedom to show what he understand by doing what he want. For example singing, drawing, make role play. And the last mistake opinion that teachers know their subject fluently. as we know nowadays things are changing in the second, especially science. Most teachers are stuck in their knowledge shell and think that it is enough. Actually it is not enough students need extra information .
4-I think it is not heredity; it depends on human psychological condition
5-the most vivid is teens` behavior. his sentences are mostly negative ,he feels himself like abuse, looser.
    6- there are advises :
---do not pay attention to problems they have everyone
--- in every religion killing yourself is the sin
--- remember that your problems are your parents, close friends problem they will help you. You are not alone .
---problems should be solved ,do not run away from them, even suicide can not help you

As I said before , the next teaching mistake is coming late

    4
I think it is showing personal attitude to students. Especially if it’s negative attitude to one of students , and teacher starts to show it before the audience. Sometimes teacher can even cut cutdown marks because of personal hostility. I think all students should be equal for teacher and her or she can evaluate them only according knowledge level, not character
    3
The next mistake is a little bit similar to the previous one. When teacher disgraces and talks down to students. If a teacher has something to say ,it is better to say after classes and tet-a-tet
    2

Teacher shouldn’t become friends with student.
A lot of teachers start to communicate with theirs pupils on the same level, as very good familiars .It can be bad for teacher. When students understand that they have very good relationships with tutor they start to live off him and like sit on his shoulders. It happens, because students think, all will be OK, cause they’re friends and the teacher will not punish

    1
And the last one. Teacher should be always prepared for lesson and have to be confident. Some teachers shows theirs uncertainty and students think, whether this teacher knows not a lot and stop trust. It’s big failure for tutor

  39. First of all, Hello!now I'll try to answer the questions:
1)I want to tell about 1- question that before asking questions If the teacher want to involve more students to it, first, they should explain the topic which belongs to that question, and maybe students dont understand the question, the teacher may paraphrase the question. And finally the question should be interesting.
2)I mentioned about the balance between individual and teamwork on my comment, but I can answer one more that if teacher want to work individual or in a group, teacher should put a mark to their participation to the work.
3)It's very difficult to answer this question, because there are various examlpes above(I mean other students' answers), in the comments. But I want to add that explaining the topic in a difficult way without any details(but I haven't seen it), next being very strict I mean that not being close to their students.
4)To my mind, If the suicide depends on people's heredity inclinations, person is feeble and only god can do smth for it, unless the scientists have found the solution for it.
5)I think that fining the solution for the problems or some psychological diseases are the most vivid intention.
6)ok, firstly, we are really young, and most of us haven't seen this kind of situation. however, I'll try to answer this question that they should to see the psychologist and it's useful, because they have good expreince and give good advices, and after it, you'll feel good and light. Maybe as I said in my comment, we should't let they be alone and we should listen them.

  40. 1. in my opinion teacher should use different words, phrases not common words that s/he used to use everyday. and of course, teacher should not mention about someone's mistakes in front of others, in this case student may lose his confidence. consequently s/he loses willing to answer for the next time. Also it will be good, if teacher gives opportunity to think a little bit.
    2. 20% lecture. Because more than 15 minutes of lecture will help students start to daydream, think about other things rather then hearing to the lecture. 40% teamwork and 40% individual work.
    3. i think the worst one is,if teacher is unable to catch attention. because if nobody listens or pays attention to the lecture, we may say that teacher wastes her/his time.
    4. Doing suicide is not illness that could be given to the next generation. Therefore, I think that heredity doesn't have any role in teens suicide. But sometimes suicide considered as a result of mentally illness. But it doesn't mean that people who are mentally ill will commit suicide surely.
    5. family situation or character of a person
6.family members should be kind, they should listen and understand. and in that cases punishments and berates wouldn't work, contrariwise, they will help to do this suicide.

  41. Hi IELTE! As we are given a chance to gamble about some problems, let it be so) I really appreciate Mrs Sevara's idea of answering to the questions online. As to the questions given above I think that teacher-student relationship must be more closer. In daily life, we can see different people with differnt characters. So, there are exist different kinds of students. While some of them are intelligent, active, optimistic and extroverted others can be passive, shy and introverted.(thanks vor Vocab :)) That's why teachers must be closer than they should.
Today, teenagers suicide is becoming wordwide problem and many ways of preventing teens to make a suicide are being discussed. A lot of decisions are accepted on this issue. Let me also to give some advice on this:

    -Parents should always be interested in their children's life, ask about every important events in their life, about school or college, etc;

    -Teenagers upbringing should be in a right way;

    -Parents should always know and try to help teens financial and mental problems;

There can be a lot of ways also, but that answers were my suggestions.

  42. hello everyone. i want to answer to the 6th question. first of all, teenagers should always keep in touch with their friends and parents. Teenagers should share their problems with them and together make decisions.
Secondly, when teens face such kinds of problems connected with love, money, education before making any decision they should think about their parents, relatives and friends also. Because if something happens with teens they will also suffer. Life is a great present from God. And no one has aby right to end with it!
Another suggestion is to take a holiday and relax. Not think about anything and any problem. Spend a holiday with fun and jolly mood.
Also, finding a new hobby helps very much. Afterall, doing the things which you like is great and makes good affort.
Finally, after all these steps try to solve your problems and live happily!

  43. ANSWERS:
    1. From my point of view , the most interesting and efective question-answer methods are:
a)"to connect the topic of study with real life. In order to close these questions to the students. Make understandable questions.
b)to write down questions on note cards and distribute individually. Student will have to answer.
c)"Why and How" questions make students to involve into thinking over the question.
Then teacher can be satisfied with participating .
Because some questions could be boring or on the countrary very difficult and missuderstable.
But anyway , if a student want to study , want to be the first , he/she will try to answer , and it doesn`t depend what kind of question it is.

  44. 2 . I think , that all these strategies :
    lecture
    student individual work
    teamwork
will be effective , if everything will be moderately .
Maybe is lecture 20 minutes ,indivial work is 20 minutes and groupwork is 30 minutes.
And after all . evaluate each students , substract points for nonparticipation and add points for active participation.
With every lesson , students will get used with this kind of stratagy and will try to do their best. Whether they want or not.

  45. 1. I think involving the maximum of students into thinking over the answer to the question depends on both:teacher and student. If a teacher is not too strict and has good rapport with students, I'm sure she will get answers of most students.
As Sadikov said teachers should and respect students' ideas. If students feel respect for their answers(even wrong ones) they will be glad to answer all questions of teacher. The teacher also should give a chance to think over the question.
In most cases students are afraid of giving wrong answers in front of the audience.
    2. According to my experience teamworks which include 2 or 3 people are more effective than individual ones. Members of team can discuss the issue by giving their opinions and they have opportunity to correct their mistakes(if they have)before giving answers to the teacher.
    3. According to the culture of East teachers are the most respectful people. When we were children we used to think that teachers usually don't make any mistakes,on the contrary, they teach people how to avoid making mistakes. On the other hand nobody is perfect; and teachers also may make mistakes. However, if a teacher makes mistake, he\she should recognize own faults and correct them, instead of arguing with students.
Students sometimes have some boring classes. in boring classes the same method of teaching will be continued till the end of the semestr:teacher checks homework, then axplains the new theme (sometimes does not explain only make students read);then he\she tries to do some activities(role plays, make up funny stories)which make the class a little bit interesting.
Most teachers have no rapport with students. they never interested in students' life, their problems or achievements.
Lacking of knowledge about the subject is the most unforgiveble mistake of teacher.
Bribery can break the reputation of teachers.

  46. The 5th question
In my opinion the most vivid sign when teen becomes silent and calm, often sitting alone , it means he thinks about something a lot. When he even refuses to eat. If a kid starts to say such things as : “ I can’t live more this way “ or after some quarrel says : “ I won’t disturb you more”. I think it is not so difficult to notice some differences and changes in teen’s character, because they are really visible. For example, one of your very alive and cheerful friend who was always smiling and talkative suddenly became calm , he has dark thoughts , avoid communication with people. There a lot of signals and reasons to ask him what had happened and try to help .

    The 4th question

Oh ! it is very hard question. As I have no medical education , I even have no clue whether heredity influences on suicide inclinations or not. I think psychologists definitely know the answer to this .But in my opinion it depends on person. It is possible , if the parent of one teen boy committed a suicide , but this boy has lot of targets in life and there’s no reason to die or his character so strong , much stronger ,than his father got. There’s another side also- if parents are so successful , but theirs child is unlucky, always has failures in life ,in short- so different from his parents, he can commit suicide and there won’t be any coherence with a heredity.

    The 6th question

Attention, attention and again attention can save a teenager from suicide. Parents should be highly attentive to the child. Attentive-not tiresome, because there’re parents who mix these two concepts. To control the child it’s the best way to prevent misfortune. What means controlling? It ‘s to be kept informed about his life, new friends and ,of course, troubles and ask about these accurately, give advices. A lot of teenagers are irritated by parent’s frequent questions and start to argue. So was with me )))) But through the years I understood, that in most of cases my mother was right and I had to listen to her. It is necessary
to have advices from adults , cause in these difficult ages person is not completely formed and has hot mind and can do thoughtless actions

Questioning techniques are widely used teaching strategy. Teachers typically spend about 40-50 percent of their time asking questions. In my point of view, there are several types of questions which teachers ask with different purposes. For instance, recalling data, distinguishing between facts and opinions, making conclusions, understanding overall meaning etc.
I believe that great teachers should frequently ask questions in order to communicate closely. The most crucial thing is that after asking questions they should give students wait-time. Even after that the audience cannot find the exact answer teachers are supposed to give hints.
Personally, I like the questions which is given to all group much more than individual questions. On the other hand, individual questions also greatly show how much the teacher pays attention to You.

If we divide all educational teaching process into 3 parts, as lecturing, individual work, teamwork, I consider that students’ individual work takes the biggest part. In Europe it is proved that most information is taken in this way. Lecturing, of course, is the major part of educational process. It gives foundation.
I don’t know why but I don’t like teamwork; my little experience shows that teamwork is less effective than others.

    ReplyDelete
  49. 1. Teachers’ method of asking question is very important during the lessons. In my point of view teachers should ask question in an interesting way with different activities. I think most students like activities and try to participate actively. I can say that because of activities teachers can draw attention of class easily.
    2. In my opinion while lecturing teachers should use individual work and also teamwork. Both of them are necessary. Because in teamwork students can share their knowledge with each other. Besides that teamwork is more interesting than individual work. But students also need individual work. If students work individually, they will work hard.
3.It is difficult to give answer to this question because my course mates already mentioned about 5 teaching mistakes. But I think the worst one is irresponsibility. As we know irresponsible teachers always being late to the lessons, give homework but do not check, do not give enough knowledge but ask difficult questions during the final exams and if students can not give true answer, they will punish students.
4.Teenagers suicidal inclination sometimes cause of mental illness. But surly it is not heredity.
5.Family problems or doing very bad work that it cover him/er with shame.
6.*They should tell about their problems to their parents. Because parents always ready to listen to their child and give a help.
    * They should not be selfish. They should think about others. Especially about parents and they must give questions like, Why my parents have brought up me? What are they expecting from me? What will happen with them after seeing my suicide?
    * going psychology is also useful.
*They should think that suicide is not solution for problems, on the other hand it will create another new problems.

Mistake №5. When teacher every lesson comes late or not to come at all .
Students become to relate at the same way...
Mistake №4 When teacher shows own attitude toward the student. Bad or good, it doesn`t matter.
Mistake №3 When teacher is too talkative and too active . Some time later it is strain.
Mistake №2 When teacher too kind or too strict . Teacher should have a balance.
Mistake № 1 When teacher doesn`t know the topic well , and try to pose as the cleverest human .

  51. Teaching mistakes.
    5. To be so close with students.
Some teachers want their students to like them. For example, one of my teachers was so close to us, like a friend. As a result, she lost her ability to control the classroom, which in turned compromises the students’ education.
Instead, teachers should focus on earning his/her students’ respect, admiration and appreciation.
    4. Being to easy on discipline.
This mistake is widely used by most teachers, I think. They are too much kind, and cannot rule students. Of course, they shouldn’t be too strict, but they must have a discipline plan.
Like saying “don’t let them see you smile until Christmas”.
    3.Mood and personal life.
The worst mistake which is difficult to get it disappeared. So many times teachers show their bad mood in their class and without any doubt it impacts on students’ mood, too.
    2. Being not self-confident.
We have many smart teachers, yet they are out of self-confidence. They cannot persuade or explain their opinion confidently, so how students can believe them?
    1.
A teacher can ask strictly students do their home work strictly or they make students put on uniform. Yet, they don’t obey these rules themselves. For instance, teacher regularly comes late, may not be prepared to the lesson, can delay to inform the results of tasks or exams etc.
In my point of view, teachers should behave themselves as they want their students to act.

  52. In my opinion , there is a small role of heredity.
But first of all, it depends on personal qualities and situations. A person may turns out a strong or weak.
On the other hand , when the child see attempts of commiting suicide of mother , in the future when he grows up , and faces with problems ... he may decide that suicide is a good decision of the problem.

  53. 5th question
I think that DEEP DEPRESSION is the most vivid intention to commit suicide.
But not always , teen can behave himself as usual...but may warn realtives with such kind of joking phrases : WHAT WILL YOU DO WITHOUT ME? or IT WOULD BE BETTER FOR YOU IF I DIE...
    Be very attentive =)

  54. Before thinking about the role of heredity in teen suicidal inclinations I was convinced that there is not any effect. But I changed my mind up because of my classmate with whom I sat in one desk about 9-year. His father was smuggler. He took drugs illegally to our country from others. After some years he was arrested and sentenced to prison. Unfortunately, I don’t know how but my classmate also committed this kind of crime. He is in prison now.
Maybe I am wrong, but I think that it also plays little role. Perhaps, about 5-10 per cent of criminals’ children also become like them.

Teenagers commit suicide because of overwhelming hopelessness or frustration is devastating to family, friends, and community. Parents, siblings, classmates and neighbors might be left wondering if they could have done something to prevent person from commiting to suicide.
Lets think what we and goverment can do in order to decrease commiting suisides .
First , I think parents and goverment must care about hobbies of teenagers . Create such kind of clubs , places , parks in the city .
Teenagers should be very busy with some work or hobby and don`t think about death .
Second ,I think that goverment should create SUPPORT SERVICE for teenagers. anonymously!
To make advertizing around the city about this service!
Also , All of us should remind each other that every person is unique .

There are a lot of way to prevant a teenager from suicide. Right now i will try to suggest some.
1-parents should bring up harmonically from childhood. Teenager should know about suicide and how it is bad
2-teenager should know how her/his important in his parents life. How relatives love him.
3-Teenager should be controlled. if someone notice some changes depression etc immeditely teenager should be taken to psychologist.
And there are some centers of assistanses which helps to avoid from suicide.

After suicide parents remember how their childs' behaviour changed before suicide. in order to avoid these parents should notice some changes in his behaviour. for example: children become nervous, depression, they won't talk anybody, they go only in side, they behave indifference toward people, even they won't eat anything.
if someone observe signs like these, they should find out the problem and solve it.

There is no strategy which could fit everyone; improvisation is the main strategy in involving maximum amount of students. So the task totally depends on teacher, which means that teacher should conduct lesson considering interest of the student and his or her viewpoint.

Maybe because of depression, they become more passive then usual. Supposedly in can be seen more then other signs. Passiveness can be seen in their speech, movements and reactions to something. Give smart question to mathematic student which used to active, you would find that even that thinking process becomes passive.
    6#
It varies differently, depends to individual. So it can be many, more then 1000 ways to prevent teenage from suicide.
I would like to count some of them,
1 To introduce that problem to teenagers in less aggressive way, so that they could understand that it is sickness, which can be cured.
2 Don’t agitate young children saying that «death is bad», because some of students do what is told them in negative way. Like tell them “go and clean the house”, child would go and won’t clean house, kind like rebellion of a child. So be careful with words which you use.
3 Don’t say to young people “World would be better if you stop existing”
Itself it’s painful to accept, but sometimes young children feel everything, so they affected to word more then grownups

I prefer student individual work. Because if student work individual he will consentrate deeply and there are not someone whom he can chat. and teachers' attention will keep on only one student. Sometimes teamwork also can be useful. in case, they can talk with eachother, they can exchange opinions with eachother. but for teacher it is little bit difficult to keep attention of all students. anyway it is easy to give knowledge to student if the teacher practiced.

  60. • The best way is speaking in a low voice. Because low voice makes students interested in what is being said. Tone also should be different. And if they want to get the answers, they should ask questions full of words that call students to think.
And before answer they should announce about the awards for the correct answer. It will absolutely make the students think.
    • First of all, atmosphere between these three things should be different. For instance, in lectures students should be kept in discipline like Maryam Ibragimovna’s lectures. In this way, lecture appears to be a real lecture.
    • (#5) Giving instructions unclearly- I guess it’s one of the worst mistakes of teachers’. Students get lost in questions.
(#4) Not discussing the theme- if teachers lead the class without any partnership with students, class will turn to be very boring.
(#3) Being poker face during the class- some teachers do not show any emotions to students while students are giving their opinions. It will put students in doubt.
(#2) Spending too much time to check homework- it will be cause of time shortage. Teacher can’t be able to cover all the things she wanted.
(#1) Asking questions not concerned the topic- teachers say that students work on their own, but as we are living in the 21st century, we can’t manage to look through all the material about theme.
    • In my point of view, there is no connection between heredity and suicide. It belongs to the situation the person is in. Maybe after several years it’ll be proved, but I guess anyway person can control his emotion although his heredity is different.
    • The most vivid is thing related to LOVE. It can be non-answered love or two timing.

    2. hello Fotima I really liked your answers. Especially the answers about mistakes. You are right teachers should show their emotions during the class, otherwise students stay in doubt after answering whether he is right or not

  61. 1 In my humble opinion , teacher should ask questions . Because in this way he/she can know students’ knowledge and their attitude for study. At the same time it is a good method make students to be responsible for doing home works.
2 they are 50 to50. Because, some students can’t show their knowledge, ability in front of other students. So they need individual work. For other students, a teamwork is more effective. While lecturing the lesson should be teamwork, but while asking, or doing activity it should be individual.
3 I don’t know exactly. Because I’m only a first year student. But if you asking them ,I will try to answer . The mistakes: some teachers don’t understand or don’t believe in students’ situation, some teachers can’t explain the topic exactly and when you ask questions he/she can’t answer, others too strict to put scores.
4 According to the psychology , it was proved that sometimes heredity will happen in teenager suicidal inclinations. If his/her family happened such kind of event, sometimes it will repeat. Anyway it depends on teenager’s condition.
5 In a nutshell you can see such kind of signs: teenager( who wants to commit suicide) may appear nervous, pensive and often speaks about death or such negative things. Sometimes he/she will be quiet.
6 the first way is to meet with psychiatrist . I think it is more affective than others. The second way is to be close friend and speak with teenagers about their problems. It is especially depends on parents and teachers. They should speak with them about life , future that effect ,make them love the life

  62. Of course, committing suicide with some intentions can be irrelevant. However, some teenagers think that they can relieve from sufferings and all nuisance in life. Some also think that they will not cause their parents, siblings, friends, and other people around them any harm if they commit suicide and jeopardize their lives. With these, they imagine doing people around them favor by doing it. In fact, it's not so. They only cause harassment by doing this. Sometimes their intentions of committing suicide can be provoked by disagreement and altercation with friends and others. The reason why they act so can be that they cannot stand libels upon them. Another intension can be relief from sins and so on.

  63. I would suggest that parents, family members, relatives, friends and others prevent these juveniles who once had an intension of committing suicide by giving advice and explaining to them the outcomes of suicide.Another help can be much supporting them by parents and others and enkindling the light of blissful life and love of living. In case of making sins in their past lives, teenagers can be prevented by the commission of suicide by telling them their positive sides and by saying that others need them.

  64. 1. To involve students in lessons with more activities, to give some hints when asking questions and etc... make them be interested in the lessons by exchanging amazing questions and answers.

    2. I think teamwork and individual work can not be separated from one another. because one full fills another one. individual work in most cases shows student's knowledge and can be a good way of teachers assessing students. teamwork is useful for students, because they exchange their knowledge and get to know what they don't know. lectures for most students can be boring because of listening to only the lecture.

    3. # results of boring lessons
    # not knowing his/ her knowledge well
    # bad behavior
    # not psychologists with children and students in teaching
    # irresponsibility

    4. I think suicide does not pass from generation to generation for they are fed up with life and no control over themselves. the main point of not passing from generation to generation is lesson of seeing the same suicide in the family.

    5. during the teenage teens commit suicide in order to suffer their parents or siblings because of the arguments between them. in order to show that they are needed after the death and cause problems to their parents and others.

6.By being given advice by psychologist and the elderly. Encouraging them to live and to see good things in life. parents should be close friends with their children. Only this way can help prevent children from suicide. because, when they are friends child can easily share with parents about their problems. Dilinoza 1"D"

I have found out information from www.about.com , and it says that an estimated 15% of depressed people commit suicide. In my point of view, depression is one of the main causes of committing suicide. In order to prevent a teenager from suicide adults should pay their attention more, they should give love, admiration etc.
Although teaching about how to stop bad feelings and relax their mind is effective.
Making teenagers to be busy with part-time job or attending to clubs (learning foreign languages, sport, dancing) are too helpful, I think.

  66. *4. In my opinion heredity can also have some effect on teenager suicidal inclinations. The uzbek people have a proverb about this statement :a bird does as it sees at home. If a member of the family suicide himself teen probably will do the same thing.
*5. the most vivid sign of a teenager's intention to commit suicide is considered desiring to be famous, involving all attention of people around them. Broken love also may lead to suicide.
*6. Parents and teachers should be more attentive to the teen. Most sucide happens as a result of lacking attention and care. parents should have more, even small talks with a teen. Parents should persuade teen that life is full of bright days, teen should enjoy living in this world. Teen never must feel himself alone.

  67. 1) The most affective way of giving a question is giving an interesting questions)). Teacher also should change his voice because the tone of the voice also plays an important role in getting students attention.
2)I prefer team work than individual ones. While working with a group of people it is easier to get a knowledge, to remember the material. It also helps us to keep a friendly atmosphere in our study.
    3) I think taht the other mistakes are:
    # not being so friendly with students; ( being too much friendly also)
    # the lack of knowledge
    # not working individually with every student
    # boring lessons
    # sometimes not being strict enough with audience

    4) I think that heredity is not connected with teens suicide. Teenagers are old enough to understand the family quarrels and make decisions. When a quarrel happens in the family, they try to understand and not to repeat this problem again.
    5) I suppose, the most vivid sign of teenagers' suicide is losing the closest person in one's life, failure in life, broken love and etc.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Here the answers to other questions :
    1) In my point of view bringing extra information and interesting, useful handouts are the best way of attracting students' attention. While giving a question teachers should say about what they want to ask, then ask the audience what they thnik of it, and then finally should ask the question. With that way, teacher will get the attention of the students.

    2) I think that lectures and teamwork help students a lot in understanding the topic, but for me working individually gives much more effect than the previous ones. While working alone I realize my mistakes and try to work hard on them and improve also.

    3) I think that the lacking 5 mistakes are:

    # being too official with students
    # abusing the audience with nonsense
    # not perceiving the lessons seriously
    # being late for the lessons
    # not feeling the responsibility of a teacher

    4) I think heredity doesn't have any connections to teenagers' suicide. All the parents should do is, to play the necessary role in the upbringing of the child.

    5) In my opinion, the most vivid signs of teenagers' suicide is unhappy ending of love, quarrel in a family, problems connected with study and so on. But suicide will not help to solve these problems. A chance for living is given once, that's why one should use it in a right way with the thank to Allah!

  69. I suggest that if teachers use different cards, it will be useful and effective because it involves a lot of students in one lesson. In addition,If one student can not answer, others have chance to answer questions, and maybe they are able to tell correct answer. In that case, it will be unnecessary to answer teachers themselves to their questions.

    ReplyDelete
  70. I don`t know really other five teaching mistakes, that`s why I can only guess.
#5 Teachers make students go out, because of their unattention or interruption for the lesson.
#4 When teachers have very bad mood or awful situation in their home, they sometimes shout at their students without reason just for only asking questiuons.

    ReplyDelete
  71. 1)at first, questions should be interesting and connected to the topic. one cen use visual aids( pictures and diagramms) to catch attention of class. questions also shoul be not so difficult so all students can answer or give his/her opinion. and one should listen carefully every students answer or opininion. shouldn't turn himself/ herself to another student.
    2)
Can you suggest a strategy for a teacher to ask questions; in order to involve the maximum of students into thinking over the answer to it, and in order the teacher could get the answer from students instead of answering himself/herself?

    2. today lecturing considered as old method, but i think it didn't lose its effectivness. os reachers should give lectures but not as much as past times. individual work makes student work hard at somethign. it mekes learn many things alone in pecular time. but it may bother student, if it is given every time. and ofcourse teamwork is the best one, but some students work hard at it, some less, and some even do not work at all. so giving team work all time is also not acceptable.if you want to keep balanse than your lessons should contain of 45% lectures, 25% individual work and 20 % teamwork.
    3)
#5 to love smarter students more than others and to pay attention them more.it makes others do not want to study.
#4 to show students his/her bad mood, emotions, let them now about his/her life problems. it influences students mood and study.
#3 do not punish students for not studying and not doing homeworks. it makes them relax and do not study neither in school nor at home.
#2 do not come to classes on time, let students go home earlier very often.
#1 to become so close with students that they consider him/her as a friend. that makes students believe that teacher do not punish them for not studying. teachers somewhat should keep distance with students.
    4) i think it also influences to teenage. if one of the parents or grantparens, or even one member of family commit or committed suicide and teen knows about it ,it stays in teen's mind for a long time , and sooner or later s/he also may try to do it.
    5. in my opinion when one desides to commit suicede, s/he all time says that s/he is going to do it, s/he is all time depresssed and do not pay attention to others.
6)if a teen is about to commit suicide, s/he must talk to a psychologist. thay are specialist in their field, and can persuade teen not to do such kind of things. and also thare must be someone with that teen who is close to him/her.

    ReplyDelete
  72. I think it depends on the question. There are different questions teachers may give. For example, if the question is like this: "Which one is better: man to be a teacher or woman?" or "What are the disadvantages of cell phones?" then, I think, teacher should ask everone's opinion by calling names of each student. Asking one by one in an order makes each student try to think of something about the question and because question is opinion-based students can even try to think deeply attempting to find something new to say so that they don't provide the samr answer with already replied ones. Our teacher Ms. Sevara also does like this and I like it. It's better to ask all the students turn by turn, because only then I try to think something and tell it in English, rather than asking volunteers, which makes me even more passive.
If a teacher wants to give fact-based question which was talked previous lesson , then s/he should give it addressing all students and give some minutes to think assuring them s/he may ask anyone. Within that some minutes students make their mind think or remember. (or some can make their books start thinking). It is useful, to my mind.

  74. In my opinion, suicidal inclination is not depended on the role of heredity. It is depended on the people`s behaviour, upbringing and atmosphere of living. if the person who is brought up in the bad situation, such as every day controversy or the father drink. Of course, it is influence of his/her behaviuor. I had life experience. When I lived in village, I heard that one girl hanged herself because of her step mother`s cruelty. And also her father didn`t pay attention his daughter. In that case, maybe unattention of the parents are causes of teens suicide.
On the other hand, weakness is also cause of suicide. If somebody who comes across any difficulty, and begins thinking of suicide instead of solving problem. I means that his/her feeble will-power leads toward only killing himself or herself. But if the person who has optimistic ideas and strong will-power, he/she can solve any problem, no matter how much it is dificult to solve.

To my mind Ms. Yayra's Linguistics classes are a very good example to describe that balance:
After explaining some parts of the topic she make us work in groups: 3 or 4 people, in order to do the activity. Then she again introduces some other patrts, but now we are made to wotk in groups of 2. After doing this activity we a little bit get bored of working with the same person and perhaps we will not be eager to work in groups. This time Ms. Yayra makes us work individually. And it imposes a responsibility on us as a result of which we immediately get fresh and new to the lesson again. It's very useful because after a bit relaxation working in groups students will be made to response for themselves only, which makes them more awaken and attentive to the class.

    5#Teachers' being late for classes.
Teachers immediately get direspected when they become used to being late. This leads to the situation in which students come late as well resulting in the continuous interruption of lessons.
    4#Being unfair in putting marks.
Some teachers put marks according to the situation of past. For example, if a student who was always doing well will definitely get high mark inspite of the miitakes they've made even though they didn't work on this task as much as the other who has got lower mark with the reason that they didn't study well sometime ago. It means teachers sometimes put marks based on the initial performances of students. (regardless of how well they are/are not studying)
3#Giving too much handouts including too much information on the currant topic.
Those teachers who do it shouldn't expect much from their students only because they think they are giving a lot of useful information on topics. Because, inspite of the fact that it's very useful if information is too much, students would prefer reading short and less informational handouts.
2#too much activities during a class
    1#lack of knowledge
Teacher with lack of knowledge is most likely to be refused by students.

  77. Answers:
    1) I think firstly teacher should begin to ask from simple questions, in order to attract attention and give a time for getting ready to other more difficult questions. It can be for example rhetorical question or which they can guess.
    2) In my point of view, the balance can be finding when teacher have to take into account the lecture time. For example, teacher can begin from lecturing 20-30 minutes or more and the rest time spent on group and individual work. In addition, I think that individual work is more effective then group. Because student can show their real ability and knowledge, and each student will work.
    3) #5 have not equal attitude toward students. Some teacher chooses among student who is teacher's pet. It’s not professional; teacher must be the same toward every student. This mistake can make student not try to do s.t because it will not be estimated properly
#4 starts to speak about personal problems. Sometimes teacher start to speak about their own problems during a lecture, but it is not give any "knowledge" and useless for student. However sometime it can help to establish good relationship with student, teacher should know when it becomes unnecessary.
#3 no respect to own rules. Many teachers begin break the rules that they want students to follow. For example, they come late, talk to someone by cell phone, and etc. why students should follow the rules that even teacher don't respect and follow.
#2 no enthusiasm. when teachers don't like their work, and have no desire to go and teach, student also won’t be attracted to the lesson. However, when teacher is enthusiastic/he can easily catch attention of students.
#1 lack of knowledge. The worst mistake of any teacher if s/he doesn't have any idea what about s/he is talking. When student ask question teacher can't answer. Students can only snigger and do own business.
    4) i don't think that there is a role of heredity in committing suicide...although if parents have some psychological problems it can influence on children because they also inhere such kind problems. However mostly teenager or adult have their own head and own choice. So they don't have justification for their actions like suicide.
    5) In my opinion I think that signs of intention are different, because we can't find the same personalities. Only close friends, family and psychic iatric can notice the signs. However, the most vivid sign can be isolation from people, unwilling to talk to smile to live. Tiredness!
    6) In a nutshell I think that:
1-make that person talks to someone and those problems will seem not so big.
2-show him/her that it's not solution, and how is necessary to fight for life
3-make him/her laugh and even one minute of laughing can bring person back to life out off depression.

Firstly, most teachers try to give the answer themselves intentionally, I do not know why...
But, from the students voice I can tell you teachers WE REALLY NEED to
    concentrate on
understand the question. Which demands some time. I would suggest teachers to gain students attention and give them CLEAR hint and direction to solve the problem.
Limiting time is very good way to move our brains. Moreover, if we are divided and should compete with each other, it gives much more intention to do the task. But, you should remember about the MOTIVATION, awards, rewards and etc.

Physically, man tends to be bored doing the same thing for a long time. He needs change and rest.
These methods are essential when they are mixed, and mixed properly.
Person in front of any audience should be able to feel it. Similarly, teachers also should know when to move on the other kind of task.
I think, when the student comprehends the information or has already dealt with the task you gave him, this is the very time to change the topic.
Because, waiting for a summary of the task, and teachers retelling the correct answer is the hardest part for students.Because they tend to have a character that if they are aware of something then they cant stand being explained twice.

    ReplyDelete
  81. #1
In my point of view, there is no the best strategy for a teacher to ask question. Because if there are thousand people it means thousand characters. every student has his own character. Good teacher knows special strategy for each student. that is why i can not suggest one special strategy for a teacher.

    Answers:
    1. There are many strategies of involving students into thinking. I will try to write a strategy which is interesting one. Every time when a teacher comes to class, first of all he/she should give some information about the new topic , then divide the students into little groups. He/she should give them time to think and discuss the material. This discussion looks like "Who, What, Where" intellectual game. When time is up the teacher asks for their idea one by one. giving students time to think and to discuss make teaching effective.
    2. I think the student individual work and teamwork for a lesson will be maximally effective, when the lectures are read very completely and effectively. Because, If students get a great deal of knowledge from lectures, they can give brilliant and new ideas when they are doing an individual or teamwork. However students never involve only for lectures, because it limits their knowledge. They should search information through books, magazines and Internet. By this way, they can broaden their knowledge. That`s why an individual work should contain more percentage than others.
    3. The other five teaching mistakes could be:
5-Asking the answer from only one or two students who comprehends well than others.
4-During the class, being a fearful atmosphere instead of friendly atmosphere. In this situation the students feel fear to tell the answer and somehow limits their thoughts. They will have such kind of thought that "If I tell my opinion, she will put me low mark, maybe my opinion is not true".
3-Beginning a new topic in every class without reviewing the previous ones.
2-Not paying attention to students little achievement. If teacher add some points for their success, students will feel a confidence to themselves.
1-Giving the same tasks to all students without considering their point of views and interests.
    4. I think, everything is up to a person. There is no a dependence on heredity with a teenage suicide.
    5. In my opinion, the most vivid sign of a teenage suicide is feeling themselves humiliated. In this situation they think as If they were unnecessary person. They don not think about their future, family, friends and real beauty of a world. The think that only way of avoiding this problem is death.
    6. First f all a real intention to prevent from a teenage suicide.
-to explain the real beauty of life.
-going to the zoo, park or garden in order to feel the wonders of the world instead of sitting in one room playing computer or Internet.
-to teach how to be a thankful person for everything which he/she has got and can do. For example "You have two open eyes, what would be do If you were a blind?". I think such kind of questions make them to think about their life.

    1- Teachers' mood.
if teacher come to class with bad mood it can be effected to students. Keeping good mood also important to the teacher.
    2-changble teachers
First some teachers become close friends with students. at the end teacher explose.
    3-Teacher avenger
Teacher shouldn't take revenge on student
    4-Indifference toward students
5-Divide students to the best, good and the worst one.

    ReplyDelete
  84. The 2nd question
I think all should have measure. It means that not the whole lesson teacher should read the lecture, otherwise it will be boring. In the beginning of the lesson –of course part of lecture(about 20 minutes) Than some warm-up activities in order not to sleep))) about also 15-10 minutes. Than again continuation of the lecture 15-20 minutes. After finishing the lecture all information should be fixed by some activity or questions related to the topic(20 minutes) everyone should be involved. Than questions from students and explanation of home tasks.

    The 1st question
Sometimes students are confused while immediately asked question. I think instructor should distribute to everyone own different questions, than say in what sequence s/he will ask question and give some minutes to think(it is very important) and let the student work in a quiet and not nervous atmosphere

The other five mistake, maybe, are:
    1. Answering question without any proof. Saying "it should be like this" Student-"but, why?" teacher-"I can't tell you now, but it is."
    2. Agreeing everytime with the same student.
    3. Not giving the criteria for the evaluation.
    4. Becoming the only person in a auditory to be listened to.(showing ignorance when a student speaks)
    5. Trying to gain fear and insicere respect of students

I consider that there is no any role of teachers in heredity. Maybe, in terns of realizing and preventing the problem.
However, this is something gained through blood, DNA. Kind of phenomena or feature of a human. Being depressed and trying to get rid of it. Everything depends on the WAY how to do that.
Teachers can only help with their accuracy and notice of s students " emotional disequilibrium"(Psych. Imbalance).
What they also could do is contacting oarents and warning them.

The best way to prevent suicide with clinical depression is to know the risk factors for suicide and to recognize the warning signs of it.
Take these signs seriously. Know how to respond to them. And, it could save someone's life.
The most vivid signs, in my point of view:
*Telling the last and major wishes, what would he\she do to feel complete in this world
    *Speaking about the afterlife
    *Sadness and depression
    *Being hopeless
*HAVING affairs-without any care about consequences
    *Feeling about guilt, shame, worthlessness
    *Increased alcohol and drug use
*Sudden change of mood-From SADNESS\DEPRESSION to CALMNESS

  88. My answers:

    1. First of all, teachers should consider every students` point of view when asking questions. And try to ask questions according to their interests. In that case teachers should be professionals of their subject. I think the one strategy, that I can suggest is first of all teachers should give some information about the theme and then should ask questions. It will be more comprehensible to answer after a brief information.

    2. In my opinion, a teamwork should contain more time than lectures or an individual work. Because, for me I can understand more information when I am participating in a group. I can share my opinion with others and learn new things from them. Also the handouts which are given to a group, make me interests to a subject.

    3. In my opinion the other 5 mistakes could be:

    V. Insufficient handout which make the students comprehend lower
IV. Giving home tasks to students, but not complaining the instructions well enough
III. Only asking a question from the students who are active, and not paying attention to other passive students
II. Doing their own business during a class instead of teaching students
    I. Forcing a student to tell the answer immediately.

    4. I think the teenage suicidal inclinations depends on the heredity of a teenage. Because human does what he/she sees in his family.

    5. The intention of teenage suicide is that when they think themselves that there is no way to solve their problem any way. AS a result they kill themselves because they thought death is the only way of avoiding a problem.

    6.
    - Having lots of friends
    - Looking after herself
    - Looking sightseeing
    - Going for sports
    - Doing something useful
In short being a busy whole 24 hours

One of the prior importance stages, I think, is removing the tools or means of suicide. Of course, if you are suspecting he\she is going to try that.
    Other major stages can be:
    *Being aware of his\her life
*Being aware of his\her location and movement
*Not saying that this is normal and he\she can go through and overcome it
(Person will understand that others do not notice the importance and hardship of what they are feeling, and try to use more "serious" signs)
I guess, what I have written can be done until a professional help occurs, but not without it(prof.help).

  90. 1I think it's easy to get answer to question when student catches question. So it will be good, if teacher gives question in easy way, with easy words.
    2. If one lecture contains 80 minutes, 10 minutes we will take for individual work, 35 minutes for lecturing and another 35 minutes for team work.
    3. First mistake is when teacher has “zero emotion”. It is when student answers and teacher wouldn't give a comment, even says nothing, and immediately goes to the next question. Whenever, teacher should have a comment to students answer even if it is bad comment. Second mistake is when teacher doesn't notice improvement on a student and gives fewer marks than student deserved to get.
    4. I think heredity doesn't have any role in teenage suicide. Many teenagers do this suicide with relying on their emotions, feelings at that moment.
    5. Many things. For ex: misunderstandings between family members, unfaithful love and etc. Because in this period teens think that they are not able to solve their problems. And also changeable feelings are one of the biggest causes of teen suicide.
    6. I suppose that I don't have enough knowledge from psychiatry in order to answer to this question.

    ReplyDelete
  91. 1. In order to involve the maximum of students and get answer from students. Teacher should ask open-ended questions. And all the opinions will be different

    2. In my point of view there should be balance between lecturing and individual work. Because, not every student do his or her home work.
Student can be active while lecture, but he/she can be passive at home(in individual work). All the information which is taken while lecture should be repeated at home. Everything is effective when it’s repeated.

    3. I think those mistakes are enough , because all possible mistakes are mentioned.

    4. I my opinion heredity doesn’t depend on teenage suicide, because everything is up to a person.

    5. lacking care of teenagers parents, to be in a bad behaved peoples’ group, the bad atmosphere of their family, feeling themselves as unnecessary people.

    6. I do believe that there are many ways to prevent a teenager from suicide. I do not have enough experience in life(Cause I’m 20). But, person should be satisfied in all aspects of life. He/She should believe that everything is in their hands and they can change their life

  92. 1- First of all, the question should be clear; 'cause if it's not understable, the student simply cannot answer it. Then, it could be motivation from the teacher. He could encourage the student with the words, like "I'm satisfied with you today" or "the next time I'll be waiting foor you to perform better"
2- I guess, lecturing can be divided into parts, and between them the teacher could use teamwork and individual work.
3- There were told a lot of mistakes of teachers during the lessons, so now I want to talk about the mistakes during the exams. Watch out: the disturbance of the exam by another teacher, making unnecessary announcements, giving papers printed in low quality, explaining instructions again and again and so on...
4- Genetics are not developed yet, so I agree with MiKa's opinion, you may ask me after several years)
5- As everybody here mentioned, depression seems to be the most vivid sign.
6- I agree with Malika's opinion, that a teenager should not be punished and parents should not leave teens alone, as well as they should observe their children!

    1. I would love to suggest teachers to ask open questions like: "Could you make up a sentence in present perfect with the help of for and since?" or "What do you think that what action can be contained in everyday problem?". Such kind of questions attract students more than questions which require the only response as "When were Shakespeare born?". After receiving the response the teacher can go on another one. If the query entails one answer, only volunteers might give it instead the hole group.

  94. 2. In my opinion the balance will appear when teachers utilize all methods in mid level. For instance, the unit about arts should be taught, and I think, teachers should announce the topic and request students to provide one word related to the theme. Then s\he can give little information about how to use the given words. While explaining use of words can be asked from students as well, so that they will not lose their attention. After expressing, students can be seperated into small groups\teams to play interesting games, or to perform in some performance about art. The game or performance should contain everyone, and must be interesting for audience. Besides, it also include students age.

  95. Answer to 1st question: Well, i think it's always difficult to involve all the students during classes. at least one of them must daydream, it's life's rule. But,nothing impossible, so attempt may have its shot. in my opinion, teachers should provide questions in up-to-date activities, which students are interested in. And teachers shouldn't give students too much time to think over personal questions. Because, non student will think about the task or question, if they have time for daydreaming.

  96. 1) 1. Can you suggest a strategy for a teacher to ask questions; in order to involve the maximum of students into thinking over the answer to it, and in order the teacher could get the answer from students instead of answering himself/herself?

Actually, from my point of view, it depends on the question itself – whether it’s interesting for students or not. The way a question has been given must be provocative. Students respond questions when they know answer or have experience they can share with.

I agree with one strategy described in mistake #9. The scheme was like this:

    - Giving question
    - Giving some time to think it over
    - Asking students one by one.

    My experience:

On September, when I was studying in IELTE, I was given questions during lectures. The way the question was given was like this: teacher asked: “Who wants to answer?”, “What do you think?” “Why it’s like this?” etc. And there were always 2 or 3 volunteers, but others kept silence and I was among them. May be it was because of our fear. It’s better not to answer when you are not sure that you are right. But when teachers asked our opinion by giving question to each student individually, we had to answer; there was no other way out. Then, by the time, I have become much more active during lessons. I’ve come to the statement that it’s better to say your opinion no matter whether you are right or not than keeping it inside. It’s normal that you are corrected by someone, because next time if you are asked such question, you will be ready to answer!

    ReplyDelete
  97. 2) 2. Where do you think the balance must be between lecturing, student individual work and teamwork for a lesson to be maximally effective?

In my opinion, the lecture must be divided into 2 parts: lecturing and team work. During the first 40 minutes, a teacher should provide new material explaining everything in details. The other 40 minutes must be dedicated to team work. Teacher can divide a group into 3-4 small groups and give a task. What about individual work – it must be our homework. Doing homework we are working on the given material. Teacher gives homework in order to check students’ understanding about the topic. And there is no effect, if teacher checks teams’ work. As a matter of fact, in team work someone can work and someone can just help by doing what his group mate ordered.

    ReplyDelete
  98. 3) 3. What do you think what are the other five teaching mistakes?

    5th mistake: Being too kind.
Most of students like kind teachers, because it’s comfortable and easy to study. However, students become disobedient. I mean that after some time, when they notice that teacher says nothing if they haven’t their homework done, they come to the lesson unprepared thinking that teacher anyway won’t punish them. Moreover, they start being late or even missing lessons. It’s proved that when teacher is strict almost all students do homework, never late and keep silence during lectures.

    Maryam Ibragimovna is a real example. She is strict, sometimes too strict, but students listen to her. If she says don’t be late, students come on time; if she says don’t miss lectures without serious reason, students attend all lectures;

Teachers play an essential role in student’s education. If they make us study, we study, if they don’t, we become lazy. Of course, there are so many students who study on their own, but sometimes teacher’s experience is more valuable than information written in books. What I want to say is that when teacher is strict there is an order in group, and when there is an order in group students obey teachers, attend lessons, fulfill homework and get good education!

    4th mistake: Not giving/checking homework.

Giving home assignment teacher makes students review covered material. They can indicate whether students got the material or not. If students manage, it means they can move on, if not, teacher should explain unclear parts.

Some students don’t understand that doing home task is one of the best ways of fixing/memorizing covered material. Just learning something is not enough for recollecting it when you want, practice is also necessary. It’s better to try to do something once than learning how to do for several times. This is our nature.

    3rd mistake: Always criticizing students

Sometimes teachers criticize students if they did something wrong or didn’t do at all. Any student can make a mistake and, of course, s/he must be corrected by teacher. But the point is that some teachers criticize/correct students in way that is offensive, rude. Student gets ashamed if teacher, for example, says that s/he is stupid or slowpoke in front of his group mates. Such behavior of teacher shouldn’t be accepted. Any student’s mistake should be corrected by teacher in a way that’s polite and understandable.

    2nd mistake: outstanding plan

To my best knowledge, any teacher has his own plan which is given by authorities of the educational institution. Teachers work in accordance to the plan which defines their main aim of teaching. For instance, let’s imagine that teacher’s aim is to explain all topics of some book. And the problem is that sometimes teachers can’t get along with covering all topics that means they haven’t reached their aim.

1st mistake: breaking rules of etiquette

As we know, teachers and students have rules of etiquette where is written their behavior. To put in a nutshell, what they should do and what they shouldn’t. In my opinion, any teacher must treat students fairly/ in a way that is right.

For example, teacher is not allowed to smoke, drink and say inappropriate words in front of students. Firstly, students will start to disrespect teacher that’s the worst. Secondly, they can do the same. Do you imagine such situation? Nothing can be worse!

  99. 4) 4. What is your opinion on the role of heredity in teenager suicidal inclinations?

In my opinion, heredity doesn’t influence teenage suicide. It depends on the way children have been brought up! If parents bring up children properly and look after them carefully and attentively, their children will not even think about that!

    ReplyDelete
  100. 5) 5. What sign of a teenager’s intention to commit suicide is the most vivid?

In my opinion, the most vivid sign is changes in his behavior. His/her behavior differs from his ordinary one. As I know, if a teen is going to commit a suicide it means that something bothers/annoys him or gets him down. Consequently, he is depressed, moody, dejected, sad etc. Moreover, teen can start saying things like “Want to die”, “Fed up with living”, “Live in the Heaven is better” etc. In most cases parents and teachers notice such changes, but don’t accept that seriously. They make of that such behavior is temporary and keep doing their own work. This is an error of adults!

    ReplyDelete
  101. 6) 6. How many ways to prevent a teenager from suicide can you suggest?

There are a lot of ways how to prevent a teenager from suicide, but I’m going to write about essential ones.

First of all, we should create compulsory courses for future parents where they will be taught how to bring up a child. It’s rational and important, because most of women don’t know about that. For example, they can attend such courses while they are pregnant. As a matter of fact, if pregnant woman doesn’t go for a walk and doesn’t take a piece of sunrays, her child can be born with the lack of vitamin D which is necessary for the further development. Don’t ask where I did know from =) In short, children commit suicide because they have been bringing up in a wrong way*. Parents should make their children tell them everything without being shy. THEY SHOULD BE FRIENDS!

In a wrong way – when parents always shout at their children, make them feel fear etc., of course, children will be weak which means that they can commit a suicide because they can’t bear pressure from people surrounding them. But when you say that your children is the best, he is able to do everything, you love him, he will be decisive and confident that means he will fight against pressure from other people. He will be striving to cope with difficulties and problems. This is the way psychology influence children and prevents them from suicide.

Secondly, in every educational institution there should be psychologists who will be looking after children/teenagers. Some days ago I was talking to Kamola about this topic, and we came up to such conclusion. Moreover, there should be included lessons intended to teach children that life is given once, they should appreciate it. General aim of those lessons should be making children understand the relevance of life. As they are young, teachers are able to make them be strong and know that suicide is not the way out. Such lessons are connected with courses destined to future mothers (mentioned above) who must learn how to bring up children in way that makes them be strong, self-confident and open for parents.

P.s. Please, don’t comment my answers. I’m so tired these days to argue with someone…

  102. 3. Before beginning i want to say that mistakes can be different. They will change according to the doer of them. I want to say some teaching mistakes:
5)Not to be interested in students opinion. It causes that a student may not answer any qiestion even it influences on their score. They try to avoid saying their idea or view, let's say.
4)Doing their own personal works while receiving the answer from students. Students also like, as everyone, when they know that they are being listened by teachers or others. Being in center of attention gives them confidence they will try to give or to say their opinion everytime.
3)Showing "cold attitude". While teaching, some teachers do not show their feeling to the audience. For example, they are telling or listening to students' jokes but they are not smiling at all; or a student axplaining his\her bad condition and the teacher is behaving as if it is not interesting for them. Sometimes it will really difficult to take it not so serious.
2)Chosing only student as a head of the class. It irritates others. They do not want to participate that classes. Because they know "the head of the class" will answer on the place of eveyrone.
1)Do not know about news on their subject or limited information, which is in the course book. If teachers find more interesting facts or statistics, at least only one, the lesson can be attracted by 90% of the group.

  103. Answer to 2nd question: Frankly saying, everything must have its " peace of cake" during classes. the whole period of lecture or only team work during 80 minutes is too much and can be tiresomely. But, if there will be a good balance among them it will be the most effective class. so, i suggest to have 15 minutes of different kinds of activities( the time can be divided to the whole period. e.g 5 minutes in the beginning, 5 in the middle & 5 at the end) in order the lectures not to be boring and monotonous. Also team work is very good way to increase students connectivity and improve team working abilities. That's why some time of the period should be devoted to team work, approximately 10-15 minutes. and of course, we shouldn't forget about lectures. They also should be divided into little parts, so that student can receive new information easier. In my humble opinion, if teacher uses this method he will succeed in every field.

    ReplyDelete
  104. 1.Involvement of the students always was one of the hardest problems for teachers. In order to make the student be interested in lesson teacher, first of all, should find "the way of communication" towards each of them separately.Teacher must take into consideration character, outlook and abilities of students. If teacher manages to find the method of teaching appropriate to each student, it'll draw an invisible line which connects a them. These line helps both of them to understand each other better, that's to say "To be on one wave".That allow students feel free on the lessons:ask questions without fear of being humiliated, participate in all activities with a great pleasure and etc. In such conditions, student began feeling an incredible passion to study, to move forward to their aims, and to open a new horizonts.

  105. 4. The role of heredity in teens suicide can be different. For example, there are lots of people, who committed suicide, in one family's history, it can work for other generations as "national habit" of that family. According to some doctors' opinion there can appear some changes in such kind of people's organism or mind. It can be met in that people's children also. This may cause the suicide, as well. However we can meet such kind of people whose ancestors killed themselves, and there is nobody does that bad work among the generation. It means sometimes killing ourselves or saving our lives depends on us!

I think there is not any hereditary connection in teenager's committing suicide to their relatives. You can hear some guys whose reasons, as they say, for suicide is hereditary, which means their mother or father committed suicide and that's why they are also doing it. To my mind, it's only a kind of silly excuse of the people who are weak in spirit but cannot admit it.

  107. 5. If I write about my life experience, teenager, who is going to commit suicide, behaves as everything is boring and they look for some easy ways of dying. They started to speak about death more than normal person thinks and tells. They usually want to say goodbye to people whom they rarely meet. People around them can easily notice the changes of their behavior and attitude toward their lives. But close people should be very attentive to each other.

Teenager who is intending to commit suicide becomes indifferent to everything and thinks a lot. Furthermore, s/he appears very gloomy and doesn't care about anything. Problems that they were always worried about become more meaningless. They reply anyone who is sad and sorrowful with this words:
"Don't worry. Everything will go over and will be OK.". They also try to speak more about killing, suicide with everyone around them. They especially take in good and happy-end consequences of killing oneself, which serves to inspire them to make suicide.

  109. rm, if to be honest, teachers do many mistakes ;)
Let have a look on those which i think are the most frequent ones.
    1) Teachers, especially at school, when student acts annoyingly start to shout at him. This is their big mistake. As teachers should be psychologists, they must know that this student will act much worse then previous time. this is due to discrepancy of their consciousness.
    2) Some teachers, and i still wonder why, firstly give the tasks or projects as a home assignment, and estimate by the criteria which weren't announced before the checking the task.
    3) A big problem of language teachers is their pronunciation. I think, before teaching students, they should learn how appropriately pronounce a second language's words.
    4) my big problem that i face while communicating with teachers is misunderstanding my personality. Not knowing me, teachers sometimes have wrong thoughts, and spread them to others. So, i want to say that they at first should get to know their students then judge them.
    5) And of course, Homework! homework shouldn't be too much. teacher should take into the consideration that except his or her subject, students have other 10 or 11 ones. time limit is always difficult to manage, so teachers should help to their students!

  111. why teenagers commit suicide? We recently read article about it. Yeah, maybe they have some causes, but it's still not the reason to kill oneself. being very young, after facing little difficulties, they look for an easy way, and think that going to heaven is the best one. I guess, when one does it, another one wants to follow. So, that's why the majority of killers oneself is increasing, especially because of this tendency.

I don't think this kind of serious problem can be solved without doctors who give very effective injections and psychiatrists. You may ask why not psychologist? Recently I've spoken to my mum of this question. Then we decided that person who is going to kill himself is not an ordinary person who can just listen to what others say and follow. They are already gone out of the degree of people who are in need of psychologist's words. Their nervous system is highly suffered the result of which is a decision to kill themselves. This is a case when only special doctors or psychiatrists can give a hand.

  113. 6. To prevent the teenege suicide requires the attention, at first. People should be kind to each other. Kindness one of the best ways of returning people to the life. If we hold some seminars\conferences about consequences of suicide at the educational places like university, school, and colleges it can help us also. People, who noticed that their relatives are planning to commit suicide, should try to tell that person about good thing, best memories. They can invite them to travel somewhere or to go to picnic. Humankind should be responsible to each others' lives and never lose thier attention, and never be apathetic.

  114. For second question I can take Mr.Yaroslov`s lesson as an example because he knows where the balance between student individual work and teamwork. Often we work individually. For instance, once he distributed us cards and according to cards` numbers he asked us questions. I think, answering questions should be individual as I did. Because in that time, you are responsible for yourself and your question as well. And one time, he divided us in small groups, and he gave us sevaral topics in order to prepare presentation in the class. At first, I was so afraid because it is difficult talk off the top of people`s head for me.And also it seemed me very hard topic to prepare presentation within little time . But my partners helped me to deal with my anxiety. Then, I could present it. In my opinion, in that time, Mr. Yaroslov counted everything carefully, even he knew we would have more difficulty in our anxienty or delivering information if we were alone, that`s why he decided to divided us into groups. In team work, somebody doesn`t want to pay attention what techer is saying about, what is instruction itself. on the other hand, if you give kind of tasks, which demands each member`s attention in the team to the task, they never be unconcerned, maybe they try to be more active than they do in individual work.

  116. the most vivid sign of suiciders is that they mostly walk alone. they try to avoid the society. there some of them who try to say sorry for all those acts that they've done. On the other hand, there another type of suiciders who, visa versa, become more cheerful then they've been last days. but, the surrenders too busy to see obvious signs and it's mostly too late to prevent the tragedy.

  117. The first 30 minutes of the lesson should be devoted to lecture. Immediately hereunder, student must be given an assignment for individual work(approximately 10 minutes). Despite all thoughts that individual work is boring, it's very effective. It teaches a student to work alone without others help and support. Next 15-20 minutes should be given to team work. It'll somehow dispel a boredom and give the energy to the student's tired brains.

  118. Answer to # 5 question. I think, when somebody want to commit suicide, life shows its new colour, I mean that this person tries to realize value of the life. And also she/he is becoming kind to her/his relatives after deciding to suicide.Maybe this person tell: "My mam or father it is present, soon you will be released from your trouble" If they ask why you are telling such kind of words, he/she smile sadly, but doesn`t tell anything.Sometimes he/she just tell that he/she is going to do something after which everything will be OK. he/she thinks of only another world. But he/she don`t know that if somebody commit a suicide, they go to hell. Because it is the biggest sin.

  119. 1 In order to involve all students into thinking over the answer to the question, teacher has to be able to capture students’ attention.

2 As for me, I prefer teamwork. It is the most useful and interesting type of learning something new. On the other hand, teamwork isn’t enough in order for a lesson to be maximally effective. For that, we need 20% - lecturing, 50% - teamwork, and 30% - individual work.

    3
    #5 – teachers’ partiality
    #4 – lack of education
#3 – lack of interest to his/her lessons
#2 – bribery, as mentioned before
#1 – sameness in teaching methods

4 In my opinion, heredity doesn’t play any role in teenager’s suicidal inclinations. It totally depends on his/her attitude towards life.

5 Lack of interest to his/her life is the most vivid sign of a teenager's intention to commit suicide.

6 I don't really know many ways to prevent a teenager from suicide. But one way to prevent a teenager from suicide is not showing your compassion, but treating his/her as you treat everyone else, Because compassion makes them feel themselves more miserable.

  120. the most effective way to prevent them from suicide is to talk to them.not to give advises, or act as if you know something. the main thing is to give them chance to tell everything that they couldn't say all this time. Psychologists are weak sometimes, whereas close friend is a super hero.
There also can be another way to prevent them from killing themselves: it's not to cause the reasons of their suicide.
Parents must be the most attentive ones in the child's life. if a child doesn't have a friend, the most close ones are parents. They should pay enough attention to their child, if they brought him to the earth.

  122. 3.5)Sometimes it seems that teacher knows even less than student. He/she are not prepared for the lesson or just don't know the material well.
4)Some teachers are very conservative: they don't include any activities or games to their lessons. Also they don't bring any new or additional information to the lesson.
3)Some teachers use a lot of activities in order to make their lessons more interesting. But it only makes students feel tired. Also most of the activities are useless.
2)While checking homework, teacher remarks some your mistakes, but doesn't explain the mistake itself.
1)Being too kind or too strict.A good teacher should find a golden center between these two adjectives:-)

  124. Answer to # 6 question.
The first way is that parents make appoitment with psychiatrists and their children. because I believe that they know human beings` behaviuor, their character. They can easily influence their patient`s mind and their thoughts. They can direct their patient to the right way, because of this ability they can save people`s valuable life.
Next way is (maybe you consider that way as a stupid way) parents should explain suicide is very big sin, any problem is not deserve for their life. They are born to do a new thing or to live as a human.Extinction is only for animals, because they don`t have mind. But they are human, they have brain to think, to do something. If they commited a suicide, it would be IMPOSSIBLE to return their life one more time. Their life, their existance is necessary for others. They think of what they did, what they are doing, what they will do. Did they do anything which was benefitial for themselves, for their parents or others.
Last way is that they try to think of only good things. In that time, of course, they need their parents help. Maybe they should think of their future profession, their future partner, their future career, thier future children, their future life, of everything which they can take pleasure.

  127. 1. I think that there is no need to ask questions in an extraordinary way. To be in a good mood and teachers' pleasant voice is enough.

    2. I myself prefer to work in small teams. However, in some classes it's really difficult to work in groups (writing). For example: Task is to put teachers' characteristics in order. For me punctuality is the most important thing, for others... It can cause some arguments between students. That's why this balance depends on situation.

    5. The most vivid sides are being too sentimental and discontented.

    ReplyDelete
  128. 1)I don`t think that my method is very good but anyway it is reliable. First of all teacher should talk about rules in class. Such as not interrupting each other and also for this movement the answer will not be accepted. The student should understand gravity of questions and put his attention to that assignment. After this hard work teacher can speak about the question more deeply but not dividing group of students who knows each other couple of months. Because work in pairs is not always good for their personality and it can lead to quarrel.
2)The time for lecturing student individually should be a little bit more than in team work. In my opinion, not all students like to listen to each other. Some of them prefer talking as opposite to listening. Even if the group work is interesting it doesn`t bring you full success. Individual work is more responsible than group, students cannot rely on others answer and work more carefully and hardly.
3)#5 teachers are not so strict about checking homework and sometimes forget about it or tell to students to do it orally. Lots of students start to feel themselves more free.
#4 teachers doubt their own answers, not sure in correctness. They should be prepared on the subject and topic for the 100%, cause students like making questions especially in the IELTE
#3 shouldn`t mix personal problems with work particularly judge students by bad mood or good. shouldn`t ask questions which concern to your problem outside of the university. Work is work.
#2 teachers mustn`t divide students by categories "like" and "dislike", because such kind of unfair narrow-mindness, teachers sometimes can`t be honest and rightful.
#1 the biggest problem for me is- teachers shouldn`t judge from the first acquaintance or meeting. Not all students behave themselves freely and easily, some of them need more time for getting accustomed to the group and teacher. The first acquaintance is often wrong.
4)I totally disagree with this very theory that heredity influences on the teenagers suicide, cause there are a lot of examples that children who has very good parents and relatives kill themselves. I don’t think that we should blame something external that comes from another theme in this problem.
    5)vivid signs:
stop connecting with friends or family at all.
eyes always stay unnormal or suspicious calm and look on something too long- it means devising something.
speak about the death and the life after it.
being hopeless and always saying good bye.
6)If somebody has already decided about the suicide we couldnt prevent. it is just question of time.....but before this decision we can show that this world has a lot of problems much more serious than their. Also, we should show advantages of life and importaance to do something really useful and good.

  129. 1.There are several ways to ask the question like asking from whole group or one by one, writing the question on the whiteboard, distributing the questions in cards and etc., but involving the students to the question as many as possible is not so easy. Firstly, the question should be interesting itself,if it is a scientific question the teacher should try to connect the question with social life.If the question is too difficult(to understand) the teacher should ask it with simple words so that each student can catch the meaning easily. Besides, it would be more interesting if the teacher gave some unusual even strange facts or examples connecting with question, then ask the students support their answers with examples.

  131. 2.In my point of view, both student individual work and teamwork are effective. Because, there are some students who prefer to work individually without being disturbed, such students are more sels-confident and cold. In fact, there are some students who enjoy working in groups sharing and exchanging their opinions as they are sociable. In other words, the lecture can be interesring in both ways as it depends mostly on teacher.

  132. 1)Before giving questions, teacher should start lessons with intriguing activities or with telling the latest news. After it students become more attentive and automatically start to answer questions. :)
2)In my opinion individual work is better not only for student, but for teacher as well, because teacher can check student`s real knowledge and student more believe himself/herself. On the other hand, team work is also intriguing and funny, but while working in teamwork some students take a back seat.

  133. (1) <<It would be good if teachers ask what they have taught.
<< sometimes teachers neglect students' answers(they think students don't realize it, but it's visible from teachers' face), or interrupt when they're speaking(trying to correct their mistakes.)It causes the student to acquire the feeling that anyway his/her answer won't be respected.Instead of it teachers(It's just my opinion) should support them while they are answering( even they disagree) like "You mean it helps them...", "You're going to say it effects on..." Students should feel that their answer is being accepted.
<<Some teachers tend everytime to get answers from certain students and other students also are used to it. Knowing to any qustion special students' answering, all the time they keep silent. And when even those "everytime answering" students don't speak, the whole room is involved with silence.
<<Some teachers give very general and unclear questions, and we don;t know exactly what they want to hear from us. Eventually, they often hear this kind of answers "It depends on the situation", "It's up to the person". Teachers should make specific their questions in order to get full answers.
(2)Of course, lecture is a period when students get basic knowledge, and that's why much more time should be devoted for lecture. For example: half of a lesson. Then 20 minutes for individual work and the next 20 minutes for team work. Because individual work and team work eqully important. Some skills are developed in individual work, while others are improved in team work.
    (3) <<Sometimes with teachers we cover one topic, but often we don't know why do we need this topic, or why do we need knowledge based on this topic. They just introduce the topic and begin to explain the topic itself. I think, first of all, teachers should explain (it would be good with examples)importance of that topic for our future profession, where we can use our knowledge which we gathered from this topic. In my opinion, students do their best in order to learn the topic if they know how much it's important for their future life, and classes won't be boring for them.
<< We know, in our classes we cover the whole topic, and in our course book it can be explained on 10 or 15 pages(for ex: writing book or grammar). However, I think, there is no need to learn all statements given there. And to my mind, it would be good if teachers separate for usmain points(I mean exactly what we should learn), or if there any exceptions they should emphasize it. Some teachers explain the topic in monotone as if every detail is important, but I think it's useless.
<<Some teachers require very much from students. They give tasks that take much time, or sometimes tasks which invove a lot of other tasks.
I think than "doing that, that , that...." "doing only this but perfectly" is better. The more tasks you have, the less pieces your responsibility, fondness energy will be divided, and it often leads not so good results. Exact example from IELTE students who study uzbek language. For final they were given huge amount of tasks that impossible to manage during one period(Actually it was given for one period.)As a rusult, after class during several hours they "completed" their tasks ("with the little help" of uzbek students.)The teacher could have found another short way that checks students' really knowledge, and can be managed during one period.
The other 2 mistekes which I think true are written in my commentary for 10 teching mistakes:):):):):)

    1. I don't think that committing suicide is influenced by the genes. A person in whose family or among relatives was observed signs of suicidal behaviour may commit suicide. Nevertheless, she/he has quite another reason to do it. There is no any connection with gen. So it will be wrong if we call it heredity.

  134. (5) I think continiously speaking about death(telling stories, jokes)is most vivid. For instance: 15year-old sister of my acquitance continiously said to her "Sister, I adore you, and I wonder whether we will be together in the next world. It's said that there siblings don't reconize one another. But I really want to be with you there also.... We will walk togather in paradise..... etc.
After a few weeks her sister committed suicide .
Furthermore, if a person who is down to earth turns into day-dreamer, or a serious person suddenly turns into very playful one(who laughs very much even smth isn't so funny). They are also vivid signs of commiting suicide.

  135. 6-answer. They should visit to psychologist, the doctor will help and explain them how life is valuable, life is given once. The doctor will explain also that they should find positive things in everything, all difficulties will pass, what is important they should be very patient. They should spent more time in the atmosphere where it is really comfortable to them, much time with their close friends, and they should be busy with useful things.

  136. (6)Of course, I am not specialist, but I have some opinions that I think can be helpful. In my opinion, one who notices signs of suicidal behaviour first of all, should show his/her desire to listen to him/her. Maybe you aren't mentor, or you mayn't have experience what to do in this kind of situation, but that person should feel that somone cares about her/him.
Next, after talking to him/her frnkly and knowing that s/he has an intention to kill him/herself you can say "Oh, once I also had a desire to do it (even you didn't have), do you remember when I experienced.... (some serious problem you had) but then I thoght over and said to myself "why should I kill myself if.....(say other people who are in a worse condition)", or if she/he knows that you didn't have such serios problem, take an example (it mayn't be real)from your relatives. That person should feel that she/he isn't the only who has such kind of thought, and realize that it happens with a lot of people and it's just temporary.

One real example. My close friend prepared very strongly for entrance exams but failed. After one or two months her boyfriend left her. One year before her father had been sentenced to prison. She was really depressed , cried a lot. We talked on the phone , and she said that thoughts about killing herself were coming to her mind. I was shocked. I helped this method, and it really helped. Now she is again preparing for exams. Yes, any of her problem hasn't been solved yet: she hasn't entered the University yet, her boyfriend hasn't come back, her father is still in prison, but her stupid thoughts about killing herself disappeared. And I am also happy :)))

  138. 3) Mistake#1
First and the common mistake of teachers is that sometimes teachers separate students, according to their knowledge, abilities and financial condition
    Mistake#2
Second lack of knowledge. There are some teachers, who are not able to answer questions, given by students. They have no knowledge on their subject. Thank for God, that we haven't such kind of teachers in IELTE department.
    Mistake#3
Third, lacking of ability to control students` behavior . There are a lot of teachers, who can't control whole class, can't make students` look up to teachers.
    Mistake#4
Fourth, talking with students about topics not related to subject. For instance, telling to students about family, personal problems.
    Mistake#5
Fifth, making not intriguing lessons .Firstly, speaking too much without attracting students` attention and make lessons boring. Students stop to listen teachers and lose their interest to subject.

    4) In my opinion, it depends on personality and heredity cannot influence on the decision of people. For instance, people have their own opinion and nobody and nothing can change it. Besides, if anybody says that they're influenced it's not true they just don't want to be responsible for their actions.

    5) Daily depression, unwilling to talk with others, losing colors of life can be signs of suicide intention.
    6) There are many ways to prevent teenagers from committing suicide
First, teenager should understand that Life is beautiful and looks like colors of rainbow, bright and colorful

Second, teenager should think about their life after death. As we know, committing suicide is one of the worst faults in any religion.

Third, if parents try to be close to their children, ask about their life, teenager will not stay alone and be able to solve their problems without giving up.

Last, meeting with professional psychologist will undoubtedly prevent teenager from suicide. By giving some questions, professional psychologist can easily understand teenagers` problems and give useful advices, which can help teenagers to get rid of negative thoughts. It will certainly help teenager to stop thinking about suicide

  139. 1. To ask questions and get answers from the students is, firstly, supposed to explain the subject so that the student was able to answer questions on these topics. I can offer alternative: ask a question, give them time to think about the answer. Warn that any response must be unique and should not repeat the previous one view of another student. It is very important that the teacher has a strategy for the survey. For example: a survey in order, one person at the end and one at first list. Students should be sure that in each class they will be asked, then he will not have stupid reasons not to answer.
2.Making your lectures maximally effective is one of the most vital things in education. In my point of view, individual work is more effective. To support this point, I want to say that students understand more deeply when they work over by themselves. They work hard and they will automatically remember what they did. During this very moment they might add new ideas to their work. In team work students can not express their considered thoughts or opinions. When a teacher gives individual work students learn something by themselves. Another beneficial side of individual work is that student will get full info which was given by the teacher. In team work students will do their part and that is all work for them except discussing and getting info from their groupmates. But there can be times when their teamworkers can skip some part of their info. Owing to these reasons, I prefer individual work.
    3. I think, in this list, the first place should be given to the attitude of some teachers to students, that is to have favorites. These are the students who the teacher allows a bit more than other students. In the second place I would put the error when the teacher works only with smart students. In the third place, I consider the following situation also as mistake, where the teacher does not work during the class with the students, is engaged in his/her own business, and the students themselves do their job. Also too friendly attitude with the students can be considered a mistake, hence a strict line between student and teacher may disappear.
    4. I think that between the words suicide and heredity there's no particular connection. It does not mean that someone from the family of a teenager committed suicide, then he has a good chance to repeat it. The signs of hereditary transmission can be seen on the appearance of the diseases and so on, but not suicidal. Also mental health problems may hereditarily be transmitted, which, in turn, can lead to suicide.
    5. I believe that change in the character and a blank look at everything can be most vivid sign of a suicide. But the striking feature, when the boy loses interest even in his favorite pastime.
    6. The most important thing is not to miss the moment when the nature of adolescent noticeable changes occur. When the child becomes lethargic and depressed. Do not ignore tantrums, whims and complaints of a teenager. You should try to be a friend for him, and then the parent. Do not argue with a teenager and do not take drastic measures. Try to include a psychologist, if the parents can not cope with the problem.

  140. 1. I think it depends on a teacher's personality. Because s/he can give students the most boring theme in a most interesting way. It seems some teachers have "magic stick". In order to have this magic stick a teacher should use visual aids while asking questions. The more interesting class makes students the more active.
    2. In my opinion both of them are effective. It's based on a student's learning style. Some people prefer individual work, some of them teamwork. There are also some advanteges and disadvanteges in each. In teamwork student can improve her/his speaking, pronounciation, listening skills, and s/he would be more active, sociable and so on. On the other hand, student may intend to hide,if s/he feels that teammmates are stronger than s/he. In individual work student can improve his/her knowledge, speed of thinking and etc. But, if his/her mind comes any idea s/he stops thinking and begins to see others as rivals.
    3. First one is not to be punctual; if a teacher doesn`t be in time students lose their intention for studying. Second is not strict enough: if a teacher is strict enough, students are afraid of teacher and have to do their homework. As a result, students get improvement. Third one is Teacher should make students search additional information in order to students work themselves hard, be creative, and not to be lazy such as only waiting for information from teacher. Next one is Lack of vocabulary: if a teacher doesn`t enlarge her/his vocabulary, s/he lose reputation and students are never interested in her/his class. Last one is Lack of subject knowledge: if a teacher doesn`t know her/his subject well, how s/he can teach students? As a result, university prepares unskilled graduaters in the future, and they will also teach others the same way.
    4. I think it`s not based on a heredity. It`s not ilness like mental or physical. It depends on a situations.
    5. In my point of view it appears fear, weakness, depression, feeling her/himself unimportant person, love and light-hearted.
    6. I think suicide is a biggest guilt. In order to avoiding suicide teenager shouldn`t stay lonely. They should socialize with others, make cheer, do sports, be in the middle of attention. Death doesn`t mean to solve all problems, it`s a cause of new problems!

  141. 1.I think a teacher should ask questions on paper-based form, for example, matching task, imagine task and with other methods. in our IELTE Miss Di asks question in every lesson differently. The first lesson she brings mathing tasks, the next lesson crosswords, or prepares mini study cards. and it really works. I enjoy her class.
2.Effectiveness depends on students learning style. I prefer an individual work, because I can think independently and try to be the first.
3.The first mistake is to be too kind. If so, students don't care whether doing homework or not. Anyway the teacher doesn't punish.
The second mistake is doing the same method. For instance, if a teacher always asks turn by turn, a student gets ready only for one question and sits an appropriate place which can answer to prepared question.
The third mistake is using monotone. It makes students be bored. Bored students never study boring lesson.
The fourth mistake is not being attentive. Some teachers say : " I don't need this class, I already know it. However, you should learn, so if you need, you should require knowledge from teachers.I don't care whether you learn or not, I just do my work". If they do so, how students be active and ready for homework.
The fifth mistake is not searching. In our day life is changing day by day. That's why teachers should know the last news which belongs to their subject. If students can't get answer to their questions, the teacher lose reputation. and students begin not to believe teacher's knowledge.
    4. In my opinion, heredity plays a role, because teenagers are in trouble, they do the action which came to their mind firstly. If a teen has ever seen or heard suiside which was done by his relatives, he also tries.
    5. I think depression and loneliness can be the main cause.
    6. First of all, parents and friends should help a teen by their love. If the teenager feels that he is loved or needed, he never does suicide.

  142. 4: Before answering this question I read all the opinions of my fellow students. I agree with the views of many such as: Culnora,Jahongir, and so on. I do not think that all depends on genes, but we all know that there are applicable when transferred to severe disease genes does not mean that it is always true.I do not think that this is the cause of suicide, usually it affects the environment, the pressure that is at home, and it depends on the person if he is strong that one can not influence it.

  143. 2) In my view of thinking, there should be proper balance between individual work and teamwork as it comes to lectures. Firstly, we should get the clear point of importance of teamwork and individual work as well. Beforehand, excellent balance between individual work and group work and between individual excellence and team effectiveness should be found. In this case teamwork is critical, having individuals work together in a group does not compensate for alack of individual excellence or understanding of lectures. Whereas, excellent individual performers are required to make up teams that excel. To sum up, I would like to mention that both teamwork and individual work are required to be effective.

    3) Theother 5 teaching mistakes can be the following:

    - The failure in the establishment of relations

    - Providing too time-consuming test exercises

    - Getting stuck in a track

    - Teaching with no clear and effective learning objectives

    - Contempt of students

  147. Answers:
    1. Questions are the most useful means of drawing attention. That's why all teachers use this method to wake up sleeping students and get their full attention. But then teachers face another problem-some students don't like answering questions. As a student I can divide the students, that don't adore to give answers, into two categories: the students who lack knowledge and the ones who lack self-confidence. To wake the interest of the students of the first group teachers should make a lot of interesting activities, give attractive lectures, etc. When these students are interested in the subject, they will start learning material. Helping the students from second category is much more difficult, because with these kind of issues ought to deal professional psychiatrist. But, to my mind, the real teacher has some assets of a professional shrink.
    2. Every teacher has his own method of teaching. Some like to give students only team works. And on some lessons students only listen to very-very long teacher's monologue, these teachers tend to give long broad lectures. The third method is my favorite, some teachers give individual works. In my opinion, the talent of teacher includes the knowledgeable mixture of individual work and giving short interesting lectures, the team works also can take place in the lesson, but, to my mind, this should be much less frequent thing.
    3. Mistakes:
#1. Some teachers take unstable attitude towards students. I mean, at the beginning some teachers behave like your best friend, then they in one minute change into very strict teachers. This, to my mind, the one of the worst teacher's mistake. The teachers should get the permanent position towards the students. I mean, they suppose to be the same in front of the students, they always must stay teacher, they can't be their close friend or their jailer.
#2. Some teachers mark out particular students, and these teachers are bad disposed to the other students. Every student is equal, the teachers shouldn't select the best out of them.
#3. Some teachers like to talk about the stuffs that don't refer to the subject during the lesson. I think, teachers themselves should keep up to the topic of the class.
#4. Some teachers can't remember well their students' names. When it happens, it really bothers the students. So, teachers should be more attentive
#5. Some teachers can't agree with some things that contradict with their personal opinions, but those things are true in many cases. Therefore, teachers should be more broadminded and respect students' opinions.
    4. To my mind, the heredity plays some role in the teenagers heredity, but this role is not main. I think if teenager's parents watch their kid very attentively, such problems never appear. Because all that abnormal thoughts about suicide appear when the child lives in bad conditions in problem family.
    5. You can notice that teenager could think of suicide, when he is indifferent to everything, the whole day sits at home, doesn't speak with his friends. It seems like he doesn't see any perspectives in his life and he finds the easiest way to get rid of this state.
    6. The most useful way of preventing teenager's suicide were given in the article, I don't want repeat them. The suicide is less frequent thing, when the teenager has close relationships with his parents and share everything with them.

  148. 1) First of all the subject itself must be taught deeply to the students, and it must be clear for them. If the student understands the topic, and he/she knows the ideas they will try to answer and get good marks. Furthermore, teachers should make lessons interesting like a game that can have student attention to the subject. Also, the attention must be divided to each student, including volunteers.
    2) There are several ways of having balanced lessons. However in my point of view 15-20minutes are enough for lecturing and during this period teacher must professionally explain the topic, then 20-25minutes for individual work, in this part students will strengthen the rules and practice the theme. Next half our can be divided for the group activities and they will exchange with some ideas during the group works.
    3) I consider the other five mistakes are:
*being not well educated and explaining the topics with narrow mind. As a result the knowledge of students will become lower.
*also, one of the big mistakes is teaching just for salary, not for pleasure. Because, everybody must be interested in his or her profession.
*sometimes teachers also can be lazy as students. They must spend some time for preparation of new methods and activities.
*I consider, teachers sometimes need to be strict. But, some teachers try to be so friendly and lose the balance between a teacher and student
*in my view, some teachers have relations among students depending on their characters, and they try to avoid the communication with a little bad behaved students. Instead of this teachers must try to understand each student as a physiologist.

    4) In my opinion, heredity doesn’t play even the smallest role in suicidal inclinations. Because, it depends on person himself: if the teenager fed up with everything finds enough strength in himself to see the world’s beauty, the wish to die will disappear.
    5) I think that the most obvious reasons causing the teenagers to suicide is caused by misunderstanding with the world (Surrounding, Society and etc.)
    6) There are many ways to prevent the teenager’s suicide. In many cases it depends on the person. If He/she is fed up with situation which appeared in his/her life they may think that this is the solution.

  149. # 1 #. It’s always not easy to get the answer from students during a class, and it is not difficult to see from teachers’ face how they get disappointed or they are not satisfied with students when students do not respond. This leads teachers to worry about students’ future and to think whether they are teaching in wrong way or not effectively. It’s ok when teacher cannot get the answer to the current or new topic; however, if students do not answer to the previous topic, this really makes teachers get upset or get angry. So I want to suggest something to the teachers. Here’s the story………May be teachers should play a game with students in order to make them respond. For example, let’s imagine vocabulary class, or it may be any class, teacher wants to check homework. She asks everyone to stand, then asks questions one by one. If student gives right answer she or he will be able to sit, if no, keep on standing. When a student gives right answer, he sits, but if the next student gives wrong answer, the two students at his both sides have to stand. So because of one wrong answer three students will be obliged to stand until they give right answer. I’m sure this will be both effective and funny.

    1) Teaching students even not knowing subject – Sometimes we are taught by teachers who even don’t know their subject themselves. It’s really bad. I don’t know whose mistake this is whether teachers’ or educational organizations’; however, when you are taught by someone who cannot answer to your questions, you will probably lose your desire to study those teachers’ subject.
    2) Not being prepared for classes
    3) Not respecting students
    4) Being principled and firm
    5) Missing lessons or often coming late – If students often have no classes because of teacher’s not coming, students gradually become lazy.

  153. I totally agree with Tatyana`s opinions, she could frankly count the worst teachers mistakes! Besides:
1.There are a lot of well-educated teachers, but unfortunately not all of them can teach well. The main reason OF it is that they can be well-educated, but they are not experiensed enough to teach the students. Such teachers use very simple or unclear way of teaching.
2.Teachers should be strict equally for all students in group.
3.If they notice thier student in a bad condition or situation they should understand and support(spiritually)him/her as their friends or children, and they must keep the balance between teacher-student relationships,as well.
    4. Teachers mustn`t mix their personal life to the teaching. I mean, if teacher`s mood is bad it mustn`t influence to the process of lesson.
5.Teacher should be strict about home assignments, but s/he should make sure that everyone understood the topic well.

  154. 1.In my opinion, involving every student into lesson is impossible, because it depends on not only teacher. A teacher is not able to motivate each student to think over if there are 50 students in the class, even if he/she is the most enthusiastic and effective teacher. Sometimes students don’t participate in the class just due to their own problems, but not because of teacher’s “wrong” teaching strategy. That’s why, I think that if a teacher manages to draw attention of even 80% students, she is already successful. However, there are some factors that influence on students’ attention. One of them is correctly choosing the way of giving a question. For instance, I myself sometimes don’t get the teacher’s idea or don’t understand his/her question. While giving a question, teacher should consider whether his/her gestures or face expression completely suit to his/her question. Another situation, teacher shouldn’t expect the reply of every student in the class to the scientific question, which majority students don’t have their thoughts about. Nevertheless, the enthusiasm, self-confidence and the tone of voice are the most influential factors on drawing student’s attention.
    2. As I think, lectures should be held in the beginning of the course, so that student has some kind of thoughts about it and in the middle part. Between this small break time period students could be given individual work. At the end of the course, when students have enough skills and knowledge, teacher can give them task, which requires collaborative approach.
    3. #1 dividing students into groups and giving them teamwork, without considering their closeness to each other.
#2 checking students’ notebooks at the end of the semester, when students have already been used to not having it.
#3 showing his/her sympathy to some student and permit what that he/she doesn’t permit anyone else( Students are very attentive to such kind of things).
    #4 being too principal.
#5 not keeping the required distance between him/herself and complaining about students’ bad treatment.
    4. From my point of view, heredity doesn’t play so important role in suicidal inclinations. Of course, I won’t refuse the importance of heredity in many things, but in this case it’s role will be important if the suicide is caused by mental disorder. As it was said in the article that not all teenagers who commit suicide are mentally ill, we can be sure that the main factor in the teen suicide is not heredity, for parent and his/her child don’t live in the same condition.
    5. One of the most vivid signs of intention to commit suicide are, in my view, complaining of sadness and aggressive expressions of hatred or anger.
    6. Of course, I’m not a psychologist or expert on teenage problems, but I can say that trying to commit a suicide comes from the thought of feeling oneself unnecessary or having weak spirituality. If parents and teachers who teach those very teenagers are more attentive, or ready to support them on time, this kind of unpleasant things might be prevented.

The first main reason of teenager`s daring to siucide is the world which surround them, the world where their close people live. Unfotunately, exactly these close people beginnning from parents to friends can be reason for suicide. Most parents work hard to earn money and provide their children with everything they need. But sometimes they forget about the most needable things for their children - attention.Parents should be the best friend for their children, they always must be aware of their achievements and lacks, wishes and problems. It is wrong to think that do not spending time with children is because of hard working and being busy all time and it is normal in family. Exactly this carelessness leads teenagers to see the solution of their problems in a wrong actions as robbering, crime and the worst - in suicide.

In my opinion the suicide is not illness or some kind of disease that can be hereditary. Because there is should be an extremely stong reason to suicide like an unforgivable case or an incorrigible mistake.

  157. In addition question #6. Parents are sometimes cause of teens suicide. Because they think of only providing their children with everything which they want. But, unfortunately, they don`t think of paying attention to children`s behaviuor or study or being kinder and closer to their children. I consider that children always want to be close their parents, to share their feelings and secrets with parents. If their parents don`t have time to do so? What will children do? In that time, children may be dissapointed with everything. Because their other friends` parents are always with their children. They are alone. They might find very easy way which is to commit a suicide. In that moment, parents will be guilty for their chilren` commiting suicide. And I want to say that parents should more attentive and sumpathetic to their children because children are their future, their valuable and sophisticated flower. If the wind blows hard, thay will fall down, that`s why parents always protect their children from evrything as they can.

  158. Answer to question #3.
    Mistake #3.
Techers sometimes communicate with their students according to their clothes, their parent`s position or their wealth. I had life experience. When I felt that I was so upset and dissapointed with this teacher. I made sure that teachers this mistake influence their students` behaviuor very badly. Even student will change his/her attitude toward this teacher because exactly this teacher hurts his/her feelings. His/her heart seems like a broken glass. It is impossible, to repair this broken glass. That`s why teachers should communicate equally with their all students. They don`t discriminate thier students.

  159. A strategy that would help to involve the maximum number of students into thinking over the answers to a teacher's questions is, in my mind, that one when students themselves should first make those questions. To be clear, the role of a teacher is to show the case, point to the situation causing some clear observation from behalf of the students, and the latter on their part should focus on the situation and find out what the teacher is hinting at. For example, students are given a sentence with the lexical ambuguity in it, and their task is to indicate the unclearance and search for the ways to correct it. I will give one more example. For instance, a teacher shows the audience the picture of a donkey and asks the students what the point is there. The students begin wondering and thinking all together; there occurs a tension in their minds and their imagination starts to generate good ideas. Finally, some students suggest that the donkey is just a strong, stubborn animal, something between a horse and a zebra. But the teacher says that this animal is the symbol of the Democratic party of the USA, so the topic of that class is a democracy in the USA and the people who build the prosperous society there. In my opinion, this sort of strategy may break the barriers between the teacher and his/her students.

  160. The answer for the second question is quite simple,I guess. A day of lecture should be followed by a day of individual work, the next one being altered for the teamwork. All these methods of teaching are beneficial in their ways and the balance among them can be reached through altering one with another.

To my mind, the other 5 mistakes are: starting the lesson with homework's checking; calling only "pets" for answers; talking too scientifically; striking the desk to calm down students; and shouting at them.
First of all, many teachers check students' homework from the start of the lesson, therefore, some students prefer to be late and avoid being checked.
Paying most attention to the favorite students makes the others feel neglected and forgotten, consequenly, the latter have no intention to participate in class.
A teacher, through using too bookish terms an items, may complicate his/her lessons and not all of the students may catch the meaning of his words.
Banging one's hand on the desk and, especially, shouting at students in order to make them shut their mouths up, is not very effective, I think. On the contrary, some students prefer to go on making the teacher go crazy this way.

  161. I do not see heredity in teenager suicidal inclinations to be the driving force in their committing suicide. I quite agree, though, that people inherit many features of their parents and other ancestors, but ones' characters may seldom be alike, in general. My everyday experience and knowledge are poor enough to defenitely answer whether there is connection between heredity and suicidal inclinations or not. However, I do not belive that myth.

  162. The most obvious sign showing the teenager's strong shift into putting an end to his life is his first attempt to do it, actually. Very often the first try turns out to be, not fatal, fortunately, due to unknown reasons. But generally, one can suggest that someone is dangerous to himself, by noticing the alarmingly-strange and highly- suspicious manner of his clothing, speaking, and behaving. One becomes closed-minded suddenly, if he/she is planning to kill oneself.

The best remedy to treat this dreadful intention is to fall in love with somebody, or change the study place or the work place, or buy a ticket to the Canaries or have an experince on skydiving or likewise. Personally, I appreciate the last two methods.)))

  163. 1) I THINK A TEACHER SHOULD DIVIDE STUDENTS INTO 2 GROUPS AND LET THEM REFLECT AND DISCUSS THE QUESTION BETWEEN THEM; IT’LL MAKE THEM FIND THE ANSWERS, CAUSE THEY’LL TRY TO PERSUADE ONE ANOTHER.
    2) WELL, I GUESS EVERY LESSON MUST INVOLVE ALL STUDENTS AND THEY SHOULD GET LECTURES AS WELL AS INDIVIDUAL AND TEAMWORK TASKS, AS THEY WON’T BE BORED WITH LECTURES ONLY.

  164. 3. What do you think what are the other five teaching mistakes?

    1. Teacher doesn’t manage his time, and doesn’t have time to explain topic to students.
    2. Teacher asks the same students, only those who studies well. Others don’t participate in class activities.
    3. Teacher doesn’t have visual aids, only lecture without any visual examples.
    4. Teacher doesn’t know material well and can’t explain it.
    5. Teacher doesn’t want to teach, it is easier for him to talk to students about something interesting around the world.

    4. What is your opinion on the role of heredity in teenager suicidal inclinations?

In my opinion it’s up to person himself. It depends on his personality, character, strength of will and surroundings. Of course, may be scientists prove that DNA can influence on it, but I don’t think so.

    5. What sign of a teenager’s intention to commit suicide is the most vivid?

There are a lot of symptoms which can be visible; however, most of them stay overlooked. In my opinion, the most striking example is estrangement, oppression and desire to retire from others. Also, there are other signs as depression, anxiety, problems with concentrating, quarrels with all people around, some changes in daily activities. Parents should pay more attention to these very signs and prevent accident.

  165. 1. Can you suggest a strategy for a teacher to ask questions; in order to involve the maximum of students into thinking over the answer to it, and in order the teacher could get the answer from students instead of answering himself/herself?
In my opinion, teacher should ask questions which require to be answered, not short answered questions. Also, questions must be on the topic, students should know the answer. Next, teacher may show to audience that they won’t be punished in case of wrong answer.

    2. Where do you think the balance must be between lecturing, student individual work and teamwork for a lesson to be maximally effective?

For me it is more effectively to learn in groups and individually than by lecturing, because often lectures are boring. It depends on students’ learning styles.

    6. How many ways to prevent a teenager from suicide can you suggest?

As I think, as soon as parents notice that something wrong with their child , they should ask advice from psychologist , specialist will help better than anybody else.

  166. 1. I would make my lesson a competition in order to attract them. If there is the competition and prize, human being can’t stand and try to win-it’s our habitual action. And I get answer from the half of the group. I congratulate and give first place whom wins the game. Then, make the group work in pairs-every student who answered and showed him/herself shares with the student who didn’t answer. As a result, all students start to work and answer my questions because nobody likes to be second. If there is such kind of student, I show the excellent students as an example.
    2. I didn’t understand the question.
    3. There are a lot of teaching mistakes according to everyone’s opinion. In my opinion these are commons apart from mistakes which mentioned above:
    a) laughing at students when they did something wrong. It really makes learner embrassed and upset and student doesn’t want to learn anything from that teacher.
    b) Telling bright students to help lower student in front of all. Sometimes such kind of situation make that lower students consider themelves as very weak, clueless person, also it might be a habitual action for them to get someone’s help. It causes lack of individual work.
    c) Solving the conflicts between students silly. When I was at school there was a sudden fgiht between two of our classmates: Bobur and Sardor. We had known that It’s Bobur’s fault, but our teacher blamed Sardor for everything because Sardor was a typical student and Bobur was a student who had always 5 grades. It’s really unfair.
    d) Keeping students in the classroom till the very end of the lesson. Of course, teachers who do it is considered as punctual, what would one do if he/she finished the topic 15 minutes earlier. If lesson is finished and there is nothing to discuss over anything, teacher should give permission to go out, otherwise it will be boring.
    e) Being strict more than enough. Some teachers use their positions to threaten their students in order to keep discipline. For example, if teacher tells students that he/she might put low grades in case students don’t do what teacher wants. Of course, they obey because every student wants to get good grades. But in their mind students really hate that teacher.

  167. 4. It’s wrong that heredity may cause the suicide. As we know, teenager’s suicide comes from depression, failure in some process, conflicts and of course, love stories. Many years ago, may be 50 years, suicidal inclinations of teenagers were few, but nowadays they are increased. What can be real cause for this number of actions. I think it is appearance of our present life. Even in these 50 years our civilisation have been considerably developed. People have more things: inventions, techniques, knowladge, experience than other creatures. Have you ever seen the dog which committed suicide itself. It would seems very funny. Yes, animals have no enough brain and knowladge to kill themselves. But human can think and act how they want. If you have ever seen the process of suicide even in movies, usually that person says like that “I will show them how much I’m important in their life. After my death they will miss me and…” so on. And I can give guarantee that every event in our life, even suicide happens according to people civilisation, using brain and skills awfully.
    5. Lack of life experience!!! Because they are not adults yet, that’s why don’t know all about life – life is one and one time, life is beautiful and fragile, life is valuable and not exist for all time. And, also, as I mentioned above in order to attract others attention, they are intended to commit suicide.
    6. It may seems stupid, but if my friend wants to do suicide, I would say him: “You are doing relly correct thing! I will help you, so there are several possible ways…” Can you imagine what will be after that? He get angry and answers me in that way: “Are you dump? I’m not going to kill myself and if you know ways of doing it, why don’t you do that yourself? If there is someone who want’s one’s failure and death, one never let others get pleasure from his/her disaster or death. And that person starts to see himself/herself as foolish, also starts to consider others as more clever than him or her, then tries to live like a very clevers. It’s one of the most ecceptable ways. But there are many methods. For example, holding several meetings on discussing of that problem among pupils and students in schools, collages, lycems and universities. Also there is a way – our religion prohibits suicide because life is the God’s gift and using uncorrectly is not accepted by majority.
